As I stated a few days back avoiding relegation is the only target for this season and frankly I don’t give a toss where we finish as long as we are in this league next season, even if it takes a last minute own goal in the play off final to keep us up.

QoS are looking like collapsing and a win against the diddies on Friday would have them right in the smelly stuff. Good to see that the Thistle revival seems to be built on sand.

Of course he loves your wee club, you are throwing money and adulation at him whereas if he were at a StJohnstone or Motherwell type club he would just be a well regarded old pro having a bit of an Indian Summer to his career.

I think we are in for a fair few draws, we have a really decent keeper and a defence worthy of the name though probably still a wee bit short creatively.

8th place is realistic, 7th a possibility but at the end of the day avoiding relegation is the only thing that matters this season.

I would be surprised if you gained more than 7 points from those fixtures. Though I could be talking shite as usual.

I think a big factor in increasing the amount the fans put in is a genuine and visible reduction in the influence of the MSG and the Chair and CEO being held to account for their actions (preferably replaced).

Talk of promotion play off place is silly but it would be no surprise if we finish above the Fifers and Morton. Given we played half a season with the worst side in my 50 years following the Bairns that would be both miraculous and hilarious.

Four points between the bottom four and Morton could well be in the mix as well if their usual late season form kicks in. Biggest reason for optimism is that we are literally a new and vastly improved squad (we even have a quality keeper) with decent options on the bench when needed. Thistle also look to have improved though the manager is a cock, Alloa are having a bit of a wobble and could really be in trouble if we take care of them next week and both the Fifers and the diddies have inexperienced managers with modest squads. It’s not going to be boring!
