  1. Football is a results driven business, so people are (as you’d expect) willing to turn a blind eye to poor performances if we’re winning games.

When we’re not it highlights just how average a team we are. In all of our big games of late, with the exception of Denmark (a significantly weaker one at that) and England at Wembley we’ve not played well. I can’t actually remember many games during Clark’s tenure where we have. Even the Euro’s playoffs were dire and if we’d gone out to Israel I don’t think anyone could really have complained.

He’s probably got the rest of this NL campaign, but I have little hope that we’ll make significant progress under him. Yesterday was as bad as it’s ever been.

I was in 117 just next to the Rangers fans, the scenes after the final whistle weren't great at all. Complete arseholes on both sides deliberately trying to cause bother and needlessly escalating what was essentially just yer usual pantomime slagging into something that turned a bit sketchy out of nowhere. Consequently, normal punters - including older folk and kids - ended up in the firing line. Not getting drawn into the 'aye but did you see what they did?' shite, as from where i was sitting it seemed folk on our side had as much to do with it as folk in the Rangers end.

Stuff like this has always happened to an extent, but there does seem to have been a noticeable rise in coked up thickos at these games in recent times, and the rivalry does seem to be getting even more vitriolic for whatever reason.

Are The Bhoys not sitting in 117 now? Really can’t stand them.

These wankers should take a leaf out of Ange & Gio’s book. They seem to have genuine affection for each other.

Not expecting genuine affection. It doesn’t take affection to choose not to lob a bottle at someone, regardless of what end you’re sitting in. It’s the sort of thing that could quite conceivably kill someone if they were unfortunate enough to be hit in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I’m not buying into Rangers playing the victim today though, which was quite predictable after what went on at Ibrox a couple of weeks ago. All of the videos show projectiles going back and forth yet there’s a narrative being painted about the disabled and elderly in the visiting support being targeted.

I’d be quite happy if there were no away fans at the fixture for the foreseeable. Just a more enjoyable atmosphere all round.
