Presumably they would need permission to change their name to they. Surely it hasn’t been granted and they’ve just gone ahead with it themselves?

They say in the statement the WOSL has approved it but they’re waiting for the SFA to verify it. That’s the key thing here I think - they know the SFA will veto it but they’ve managed to get themselves some free publicity.

(Providing of course this isn’t all a joke)

A tad late to the thread with this, but why not-

Found this photo from the 06/04/2010 game which was a Tuesday night 19:30 kick off and ended up a 2-0 win for Inverness. I recall throughout most of the match Colin Stewart was being reminded by us that his girlfriend is a better football than he is. 😆 Probably true.

We scored early on and this looks like a very unmarked Richie Foran nearest about to put us 1-0 up? Who ever lobbed that cross caused absolute carnage at the far post, how many defenders and the goalie needed? 😆 culprit Jonny Hayes?

Cappielow is a brilliant place to watch football, the oncoming evening seems to bring out a different atmosphere and character under the lights.

That might technically be the first ICT game to be streamed live online. Not by a proper channel or club stream but by some random old webcam in the ground that Morton had forgotten to switch off.

  3. There are largely two types of people - those who look at their lives and think about what how and what they can change for the better and those who look at their lives and try to find reasons to justify everything they do.  Morons are not the former but they are often the latter.

Aye that is just nonsense. The price of tickets won’t help but as I’ve just said on the semi final thread we take around 3,000 for semi finals at Hampden. It will be exactly the same this time around. You might get a few extra as there may be an expectation the we will go through since we are playing a league 1 side but I don’t see that making much of a difference.

I'll be amazed if there's more than 10,000 at this fixture.  In all honesty I'd rather play it at Tynecastle or somewhere but that won't happen.

  5. Boyle maybe would've turned into a squad player for Scotland.  His pace might've come in handy at times but he wouldn't be a regular starter.  Souttar had a good World Cup and would probably be a regular starter now but we weren't to know that at the time.  Jason Cummings wouldn't be anywhere near the squad.  Going the other way, would Jackson Irvine be in the Scotland team?  Maybe occasionally.  Jamie MacLaren wouldn't be.

Also I didn't realise Cyrpus was being in UEFA was so contentious.  Considering it's well...clearly part of Europe with the majority of it's population being of Turkish and Greek heritage - both in UEFA!  I didn't realise Kazakhstan had been in the AFC in the past.

I’m not surprised ticket sales for the semi final are low when this is the second day they have been on sale, with the game a month away and there being no danger of us selling our sections out.

The only reason to get your tickets now is if you are wanting to get the best possible view in the £28 seats as you could be stuck in the bottom few rows or right behind the goal, if we even make it that far round the east stand.

I saw an ICT fan on Twitter the other week say just before the ticket prices were released say that there was 37,000 at the 2015 final and he saw no reason why it wouldn't be the same attendance at this fixture!  The tickets and transport could be free and it wouldn't get close!

This includes people in business who think driving is real work and public transport is not.

They would drive from Inverness to the centre of Edinburgh to attend a meeting.  When they got back they would complain about the weather making it difficult to drive, other drivers, lorries, caravans, speed restrictions, speed cameras, roadworks, traffic cones, traffic jams, traffic lights, potholes, bad parking, lack of parking and how expensive it is to park in Edinburgh.  Not to mention working late on their laptop to finish off their powerpoint presentation.

If you then suggest taking the train next time, they look at you like you have two heads.

Could've finished the Powerpoint on the train too...

Yeah. It’s not happening. Would take a wild set of results imo. Including us winning probably 6 of our last 7.

An utter failure of a season and one that will see Billy Dodds, hopefully, lose his job.

I think either one of two things will happen next season - either Dodds moves on and Robertson is re-installed as manager or Dodds is retained and Robertson leaves.  Word on the street is that Robertson is away at the end of the season so I can imagine Dodds getting a new deal.
