  1. I think one thing that should be kept in mind is that he will be on the bench again when Matic comes back from injury next week. I don't necessarily believe it's wrong to play players who regularly sit on the bench for their clubs, but McLeish doesn't seem to like doing it too often. I'd expect McTominay to push for a start in the games this month but back on the bench for the Cyprus game.
  2. Agreed. Disappointing he didn't get a chance with the u21's either, although for different reasons. It will be interesting to see what happens with him in the summer. Apparently Malaga want to re-sign him again, but if Getafe somehow hold onto a CL spot and are still interested, then he might have to go.
  3. I think it's safe to say the chances of Harper being a wildcard in the squad any time soon are quite low. Malaga signed 4/5 players in January and they all seem to be getting game time. The signed another big lump of a striker, so Harper is basically 3rd choice there (in a team that's starting to play 1 up front more often). They've also signed a young guy on loan from Getafe, gave him the No.10 kit and he's starting in Harper's usual positions a lot of the time. Harper's averaging 20 mins as a sub over the last three games and could be stuck in a rotation for a wide place in midfield. From watching 5 or 6 of his games this year, I'd say he's a decent player but doesn't have much of a spark. He doesn't run at defenders much, he's not a great goalscorer. He's just kind of there. Making the odd good touch or turn, and constantly pressing the opposition (which he gives away a ridiculous amount of fouls for). Maybe the muscle injury from a few months ago has affected him a little. I'd still like to see him get a chance at some point. San Marino would have been a good chance for him to come on as a 2nd half sub but it's probably came too soon.
  4. Spanish lower league games are now broadcast live and on demand on YouTube if anyone is interested in watching him. Latest game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGWfH5sbFX8 Goal is scored around the 79th minute of the match.
  5. I watched Harper for the first time on Friday. He didn't do much in the game. He had a few poor touches, gave away a stupid free kick 30yds from his own goal and was subbed at half time. Presumably that was one of his worst performances of the season. He does have a good build. Around the same height as McBurnie but more muscular.
  6. I'm not a photoshop expert at all but here's some I was messing around with last night. Not scaled properly or anything, just seeing what it'd look like without the running track. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Hampden_Panorama.png https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pre-match_2015_Scottish_Cup_Final_(3).jpg Fwiw, I think it's quite unlikely they renovate any time soon, but it's nice to dream...
  7. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of information for the public other than the standard news articles. Page 11-12 of the annual review seems to be the longest SFA document (that I can find anyway) on Project Brave. There's also a Sportsound podcast with Malky Mackay from last year where it's discussed too.
