So are we talking about Robertson making the starting 11 for the Playoff Final against Mars or just being selected for the squad going to the Intergalactic Trans-World Cup, which is it???
It's more difficult than that tho, you can't just select the best 11 players for those positions. We need the team to gel and to compliment each other. So say having a few players from some clubs would help. As they would be familiar and comfortable playing together.
So some of the actual best 11 may miss out. If we're going to beats Mars we have to take this seriously.
Also which players could actually stand up to the heat and take the game to the Martians?
There's alot to consider

No need to change from a back four to shoe horn in a player who is 2nd best in his position we just need to accept we are well covered in the left back area.
He's second best in the position yes, but probably second best in the whole team also. So yes I think he does need accommodated.
I don't like him at centre back, maybe on the left of a 3 but he's too small for a 2 man defence.
Robertson would be excellent at left mid

He's a left back and is 1 of the world's best why would we need to move him wide left.....is that to shoe horn in Tierney. Not for me roberston is head and shoulders above Tierney who is coasting it at spl level the kid needs to move to a better league to improve or he will just suffer his yearly roastings in europe with celtic.
Agree with all that, but it would allow our 2 best players to play. And get our best player further forward.
The link up play between the 2 of them down one side would be excellent.
And out the 2 of them you would rather see robertson forward

If robertson scores a hattrick in the final, he is finally world class.
But it has to be left foot, right foot, header. In that order

Alright guys?
Mind when you finished a single point above us and some of your fans described it as 'glorious'?
Fucking good times, eh?
I wouldn't describe them as fans tbh
Remove the s, add another "n" and a "ys"

Change them about. World class is exactly that, someone who goes down in history. Elite is just a top sportsman.
Will any c**t remember half those mentioned in 20 years? They're not world class then, just merely good in this little timeframe.
So the morton team I remember from 20 years ago were actually world class. Jeez

If we get a tricky interplanetary fixture against Kepler 10b then the global debate about the starting XI is going to be immense
Robertson for left back, Tierney sub left back

this thread. It's all subjective but my idea of world class is being the best in your position and still being talked about as a great player 20 years after retiring, by folk all over the world.
So Scotland has had maybe 1 world class player, ever.
Fair enough, but that leaves an awful awful lot of top top class players who are apparently not world class!
Dare you to pick this world class first 11 ;-)

Don’t really see him coming close to reaching a Marcelo or Jordi Alba level. Think we’re getting carried away
Your definition of world class is harsh tho, in my mind one of the best in the world is a top ten kind of deal. Position specific
And I'd say he does have the potential to be a top ten left back. Its debatable sure. Whether I'm biased I don't know, maybe just more interested cos he's Scottish.
He's not Marcelo or Jordi Alba sure, but every next level he reaches he adapts and thrives in. So it's hard to say how far he can reach.

And no I’m not you’re just showing incredible bias towards the Scottish guy.I get what your saying, and possibly there is. Slightly :-)

Messi and Ronaldo have performed at the highest level for many years.
Salah has had a great season but he's needs to reproduce that form for a few seasons to merit comparison with them.
A goal every 2 games for his previous 2 seasons, he didn't just come out a box

Is Trent Alexander Arnold one of the best fullbacks in the world? Is Karius one of the best keepers in the world? Is Jordan Henderson one of the best midfielders in the world?
Seriously?
Are they some of the best performing players in the team?

Honestly can’t believe people are saying things like this. Genuinely believe there’s a whole load of bias going on here with him, he’s a really good player but no way for me anyway.Liverpool are in the quarter finals on the champions league, so are easily one of the best clubs in the world currently.
And he's currently one of their best performing players. Who's also young and has improved every season.
He's already one of the best fullbacks in the world*
*depending on your criteria

Another year or two like this in the Prem then I’d say he was. Could just be a one season wonder.
Plenty of world class players who were classed as such whilst at Liverpool and United over the years. Off the top of my head Sanchez, Di Maria, Rooney, Ibra, Vidic, Suarez, Ronaldo, Coutinho, Evra etc etc etc
Don’t think you need a move to the big 2 in Spain to be classed as thatIn my world he's about as world class as you get tbh

the only one close to world class would be Salah.
It does depend on your interpretation of world class but christ if salahs not world class what is. Messi and Ronaldo and that's it?
I'd say world class is, is he one of the best in the world in his position.

This victim complex is truly breathtaking. To clear it up once and for all 'Bing', I can safely state on behalf of the entire Clique that your existence, posts on the Morton forum, lack of posts on the Morton forum or anything else in your no-mark existence was utterly insignificant, before you bizarrely flounced on here to have a good greet about a grand conspiracy occurring against you. It remains utterly insignificant. Literally nothing concerns you here, so get back in your box.
Yawn, as if I read what you write. Quite long tho. You should have just posted a picture of ainsley

I didn't say it was. I just pointed out your errors, "Bing."Rubbish, as well you know. You and your wee gang are rounding on anyone and everyone 24/7.
So what category do I fall under in your head? A stalker or fluffer of stalkers?
Bearing in mind I have just condemned the blog stuff in a previous post. And have never posted anything at all to do with this 69 shite.

Incorrect. There's probably about 4 posters who fall under this category. Namely the stalkers and their fluffers. My post was not directed at you.
I have zero interest in your options about yourself or excuses for yourself.

Which will see proportionate responses from your mate such as photoshopping pictures with their heads in a noose, posting pictures of recently deceased relatives or fabricating accusations of criminality?
1. the number of off-topic posts saying "red dot, dickhead" with threads often descending into a spat between 'the Clique' and LinwoodTon & friends, which all get removed from the match threads and merged with the one in General Nonsense anyway?
Not directed at me but I'll answer this.
The first part there, I've never seen this blog but have no doubt all that stuff is there. And that's all disgusting. There is literally no excuse for any of it.
Part 2
That is entirely incorrect as well you know who is LinwoodTon and friends? Anyone who dares to disagree with certain posters must be aligned with other posters?
Many many posters are routinely attacked by a group operating multiple accounts. Who spend all day every day doing that. Which ruins the site
As one of the better posters its sad you won't admit this. You should stand up, I'm not just digging you out. There's plenty who look the other way to stop themselves being next.
Its not a case of who's worse. Its ones wrong and ones wrong

Sorry Dr Watson the Morton forum is still a closed shop that is an embarrassment to real fans.
I have been blocked (for my tag?) and tried several times to get a new password with no reply from the so call moderators.
I dare say boys will be boys who play with toys.
I'm also unable to get a new password, I think my crime was daring to disagree and stand up to the bully boo boys!
It's a waste of space that forum anyway, unfortunately the numpty brigade are bringing there baggage on here to.

O'Ware reacted to a few idiots amongst his own support. No one would take abuse on a personal level if you feel you have given all and have done so on many occasions. How he handles it is up to him. As one of the people who contribute to his wages all I want is 100% in every game and if he scores goals ,all the better. No badge kissers please as they don't exist any more and would only fool the guys on here berating him.
We should be celebrating but all some want to talk about is an employee of the club . Anyone who cares about who scored last night is not a real supporter but just angry at life in general I suspect.
Lets get behind the team- next time a guy boos and if you are beside him and think it is unreasonable or stupid, get 10 mates and start booing at him. See what happens. I know that seems farcical but this thread to outsiders reading it must be a good laugh.
This
I'd go further, support the team or dont come.
You want to rant and be angry do it in your house.
You want to imagine some fictitious relationship between yourself and a player, and then get upset when he scores. Seek help.
