Definitely, with Rose, Harvie, Smith, Crawford, Forrest and Shankland we could have had probably near/around £1m if we'd sold all those for a fee, instead we got a whopping £0. Yeah think the astro could be the defining one, we must pay a fortune just now renting out astro 4 days a week for 1st team training and then few nights during the week for the academy. If we had astro all that training would be in house meaning no rental fees for pitches, would still be fees involved on astro upkeep etc, floodlights and staffing to have stadium open. Would perhaps be nice touch for academy to have their own changing facilities constructed at Somerset too if they ended up based at Somerset -

True, however at the time we had a mostly successful team on the park in a competitive league with strong attendances boosted by big away crowds, along with well functioning in-house shop and hospitality so you would have thought some of the costs would have been able to be recouped, maybe not though. Dave Smith did talk about us not utilising income streams in comparison to other clubs, would be interesting to know what other income streams he's thinking about. -

Lachlan has written off debts of near £1m, confirmed in AP interview https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/ayrshire/lachlan-cameron-time-right-hand-23314911 Bloody hell don't really want to know how on earth did we built up debts of £1m -

Would be a game changer if we could at some point down the line purchase all the green area too -

He said he'd like new members on the board and also new investors, however that's going to difficult just now with the world situation and won't help that there won't be any way to put a timescale on when investors would get a return on their money just now. -

I thought £500k bid for Shankland would be a more fitting way to start the new reign off -

When Dave Smith talks about purchasing land, was he relating to bit for Jim Kirkwoods housing or is it one of the two bits i've scribbled behind the hospitality. If it's the bit in yellow it's an awkward shape and not much of a size to do anything with. However he's a builder and he's created the Somerset Hub on what is a weird corner shape of land so if anyone can make something work i'm sure he can. -

LC gone a bit more bullish about plans agreed than Dave Smith wanted to in interview, he wanted to not say too much incase things didn't workout or whatever, Cameron said this: "revamp the North Terracing (toilets, pie stalls, offices, gym, parking and potential covering) within the next three years and then within five years, further improvements to the main stand." -

Mid to long term plans are restructured North Terracing and Astroturf, astro is no brainer IMO for the style of football we try to play. Smith also bought land behind the North Terracing, definitely sounds as if improving Somerset instead of fucking off to a new out of town lego brick stadium is the way forward, thank f**k. -

Ross Doohan been recalled by Celtic it seems, on the bench for them to night. Fair to say that was a waste for him at Ross County, would have been better back at us this season IMO -

All that shenanigans would probably keep up occupied for long enough to keep us amused through to August lol Was just saying this to someone else, hardly fair how the two part time teams in our league can continue however league 1 has two full time clubs (Falkirk and Partick) who have to stop -

God hope there isn't a vote... Dundee's might get lost again. Would be surprised if Hearts being the size of club they are haven't already been doing testing regardless of whether they weren't required to. How much of season needs to be played to count as enough to be a finsihed season, i take it the amount played so far would allow for null and void if we weren't to play again until August say -

On the upside might allow us to get Jack Hamilton from Livingston on loan Also if League 1 doesn't play again this season it'll be another season in league one for McCall and Thistle -

Fair enough on cost of testing, lets just hope no clubs have gone and spunked it on stuff which they weren't supposed to and blown most of it already, i get the feeling the championship clubs have hardly been consulted on this either. I mean SFA statement says "The SPFL Championship will also be able to continue provided it commences weekly PCR testing" Sounds to me as if they're assuming all championship clubs are going to agree to testing, no doubt that'll turn into a farce again.... -

I beg to differ, that money was given to clubs to cover losses of income due to no fans being at games, going to end up giving a large chunk of it back to the Government/NHS for testing which hardly seems fair when they were originally told this money was to help keep clubs afloat -

Many questions to be answered here: 1. Who's paying, we having to use the money from the government which was supposed to be to cover losses of income due to no fans, effectively mean having to hand money back to government for testing. 2. Is our game to Elgin in the scottish cup off tomorrow night, apparantly it is, how does that effect next round of cup? 3. Does that mean we can play the league game at home to Alloa tomorrow night which we were supposed to be doing in the first place, as far as i know there was no official confirmation from our end that the Alloa game tomorrow night had been cancelled, maybe they knew this was coming. 4. Initial tests could come back with a lot of asymptomatic positives which could leave us and many championship clubs fecked. -

For this season they should have made the scottish cup regional just like the league cup IMO so you didn't end up with any teams travelling halfway round Scotland. Problem with any stoppage of even a few weeks is when are the games played? Would result in a congested end to the season of probably a straight month of Tuesday/Saturday games which would take it's toll. -

If it stops i wouldn't be surprised, case certainly isn't helped by Celtic deciding to jet off halfway around the world for a jolly in the midst of a national lockdown for a "mid season training camp" which seemed to mostly involve a knees up by the pool and in the bar lounge and surprise surprise at least one personnel has brought the covid back with them. If it comes down to an ultimation of test or break it'll be the break cause nobody apart from Hearts in this league is going to be able to fork out the £5k a week on testing or whatever it is, wouldn't be surprised if Hearts test anyway tbh. Also the SFA/SPFL or Gov ain't going to provide the money to cover the tests. Do think it's getting to a stage where the football and all sports for that matter should stop for a time because it doesn't exaclty sit well and paint a good picture when you see on the TV today that Marine FC huddled in a 6x6 changing room when social distancing is supposed to be the norm. Also in scottish games the player celebrations are hardly muted either they're full blown huddles, remember first few weeks it was all just fist bumps at goals but that seem to get quickly forgotten about. After games too players and coaching staff mostly all shaking hands which i'm pretty sure should be fist pumps instead. Apologies for sounding like a "Karen" of Facebook or something but these type of things are what Scottish Government will pick up on as examples if they feel as if scottish football has to stop. -

Martindale said the other day his recall was so he could come into the Livingston team and make an impact in next few games, also said if he was to go back out on loan it will be to east fife again. We'll end up with that useless German donkey Lars who's scored a mighty one goal this season. -
