Maybe being overly pessimistic, but “not worse” doesn’t feel like what we needed from this window…

Will it be on today, with the early kick off at the Bernaboo?
BBC Sounds suggests yes.

Is there a book on how many micro seconds it takes them to mention Michelle Mone’s frozen assets on todays show?
the fact it’s also an Off the Ball derby day you can practically hear their stiffies.

It’s maybe a me problem, but I absolutely hate the fact they’ve started up loading the team lines in numerical order.

Luke Robinson on his way back, or so say Sky Sports
Knowing Sky Sports someone called Robertson is signing for St Mirren.

That’s very interesting. Wonder if Maclean and Davidson have had a disagreement somewhere. Maclean wasn’t exactly subtle with his comments when he got the job.
He also maybe feels going back to being assistant would be a step backwards.

Presumably carries over? I don’t think player contracts have much to do with it, unless it expires and the player leaves for free, of course.
Price of Football podcast covered this a few weeks ago. Concensus seems to be it depends transfer to transfer, but if you’ve got decent negotiators at the selling club you’d push to make sure they are for length of time the player is at club not length of contract.

Burnley - "Ideally, Craig, how much time do you plan on giving Costelloe, as we need him playing regularly to develop"
Levein - "I dont plan on him playing at all"
Presumably if Charlie Adam was loans manager and he’s now away they’ll be looking to rearrange some of their loans.

Club release list from the end of last season. Fact he’s not on both lists is testament to the level of f**k up it is, if we paid anything, let alone the alleged amount.

Jamal Hector Ingram had been a free agent for about six months when he signed for us.
I’d completely forgotten about both Sandiford and Solomon Otobar.
Also the alleged player was released at the end of last season. Had to google the news story to double check his first name…

The player I’m talking about was given a one year contract, never started a match. And I believe the fee we paid would put him into or at least approaching the top ten most expensive players we’ve ever bought. The fact we paid a fee was also allegedy only down to an administrative error….

Is he still with us?
No. Which is part of why it’s so fucking negligent. The amount we paid with zero chance of recouping anything is a disgrace.

Allegedly one of the players we signed is accidentally one of the most expensive players we’ve ever bought. And not one of the obvious ones…

I heard the worst story ever about the 3 amigos at saints. It's absolutely gross mis management and I'm actually seething about it.
The damage SB, CD and IF have done reputationaly and financialy is off the scale.
Sickening the way the club was run under them.
If it’s the same story I’ve heard it’s so dangerously negligent we’re lucky that the club is still here.

Wait is OAM not on? Both BBC Scotland and the Gaelic channel have the Celtic match on on BBC Sounds.

Had absolutely forgotten that Crawford was still on the books!

Ive just assumed he got it the wrong way around, and either only 84% of season ticket holders went, or 84% of the home crowd was season ticket holders.
Nah he’s clearly saying 84% of season ticket holders didn’t go to the Celtic match in February.

He really needs to, and I cannot stress this enough, shut the f**k up.
I’ve been trying to work out for years if his wildlife photography is an elaborate troll?!

Fingers crossed we wait until 11:30 on Sunday to call it off.
All those Celtic fans will have to go home to Letham and Oakbank though!

Definitely the case. You only have to see the joy amongst other clubs’ supporters on here as we looked to be dead certs for relegation. Expect they’ll all be back if we go on another poor run.
Have to say it’s very understated in Scottish football how big a failure clubs like Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts are. With their supports and budgets, for all three of them to win so little for so long is an achievement in itself. No one’s realistically expecting them to challenge for a title or anything, but surely they could stand up to the OF in a cup semi or final once in a while?!
Since we’ve been back in the top division, the 15 year non-OF roll of honour is:
St Johnstone 3
Inverness CT 1
Ross County 1
Kilmarnock 1
Dundee Utd 1
Aberdeen 1
Hearts 1
Hibs 1
st Mirren 1
Especially when Hearts & Hibs have both been relegated during that period. Hearts twice.

I’d been a fairly regular viewer of A View from the Terrace up until recently. They’ve obviously done very well and therefore this won’t bother them at all, but I listened to a couple of their podcasts earlier in the season and it has completely changed my viewpoint. I’d always assumed they were anoraks with an all-round knowledge of Scottish football, but their takes on St Johnstone have been so off the mark that I pay absolutely no attention to their content now. It’s a shame really.
They’re generally pretty good, and I’m a big fan of the podcast(while not actually being that into the TV show) I think they’ve just genuinely seen much less of us this season due to various members jobs/lives changing and we’ve been pretty abject on highlights etc so they’re understandably not getting the subtly of us not just being shite. I think the format changes they’ve introduced have made for better coverage of teams they don’t support generally. Jamie Beatson and yer man Sean from the courier have appeared in the last few seasons covering us in depth.
Joel is def on less and he seems to have an active soft spot for us. I may be totally wrong but think he’s pals with Spoony’s brother.

I really enjoyed that from saints tonight. I know we threw it away, but a Davidson (and this season’s MacLean) side are not looking for a winner at the end there.
some great individual performances, Smith, Sprangler, and and Clark in particular were outstanding throughout. Thought Philips was too in first half, but as someone else said strength in depth is gonna kill us in some games!
How the fu j does Cammy Macpherson look the slowest/least reactive at the end there?!

I don’t mind the length of contract. May 2026 is the end of the season after next.
If it was only 18 months and keeps us up this year and does well next year we’d be raging.
also if we’re wanting him to help sort off field issues surely we want that long term…
