    Over 11 years since a 16 y/o academy player made his Ayr debut at Hampden. His was one to remember if Brown needs to try the same trick in the 2nd half today.

    Unfortunate Smith wasn't involved at Ayr when the council started talks with the rugby club to sell Dam Park. Looks to have been sold for £200k. Could have replaced the pitch and you would have had the benefit of a training ground and a place suitable to host the U18 and women's teams instead of them playing in Cumnock.

    Hutchison lives in St Louis, went over on a football scholarship. Think a few players went over around that time like JJ Hawkshaw as it was something advertised by the academy.

    Ayr putting goals only highlights up that show minimum effort for the compare and contrast with Raith TV. I think Mathie defended the highlights in his Q&A last year but watch Raith, Stranraer or Alloa's packages and you can see how far behind it is.

    Looks like Kelty's first choice played for Dundee United B in the cup so Russell has possibly joined on a 7 day loan.

    Be a good loan move for him if he can stay fit as be needs games. Although if EK want to tease a signing then best to not include him in a training video beforehand.

    With Bavidge unavailable probably a chance for McKenzie to start upfront with Tomlinson RM. Would like to see Hastie off the right if we go 4-2-3-1 though.

    Away with Scotland U19s next week but already played in the cup for Aberdeen B so couldn't play anyway.

    Officially joined Ayr from East End United summer of 2015 as he was on loan at Lugar 15/16 and Annbank following season. Don't know if the club and academy being separate entities means they club get the academy share.

    The striker should be Alfie Bavidge in order to let us imagine Alex Kirk is coming back.

    With Johnston getting a senior call up Watret should at least have put himself in the discussion for an U21 call up. Prefer that than some B team OF player. Stone the most likely to get one as one of the few GKs playing regularly from recent call ups. Henderson also eligible but Gemmill tends to favour the square pegs approach.

    I think he had the number 30 shorts on today. Was doing running with Guthrie and then both joined the subs + Hislop for the rest of the warm up. Unless he got injured with us during pre season it does seem unclear why he'd still be here if we weren't interested. Both Angelini and him wouldn't really be priority signings though.

    Even if we get one CM in you'd think Tomlinson would drop off the bench given our wide options. Hopefully get him out on loan before the end of September. Probably the best place for Hamilton too unless he's just doing warm ups all season.

    A win, top of the league and still unbeaten but biggest positive is getting to watch Raith's highlights package instead of ours.

    Scotland U19's squad is being announced this week. Given the team in March had Rory Whittaker who is on loan at Spartans this season at RB, I'm sure I can think of someone a couple of levels higher worthy of consideration.

    Like Falkirk last season it'll be moved to midweek as it wouldn't be the only Ayr Show on that weekend.

    If it's the Blair McNally video then he's not anything to do with Ayr and possibly wouldn't even have noticed who it was. Suppose any previous interest in investing would be when SFA were against dual ownership and just so happens he no longer owns QPR. He did at least post online that he had fun although maybe next time he'll get to sit in the new stand.

    He's only 17 but highly rated. If it was a ST then Callum Sandilands looks to be the only other option. Whoever we sign will be 3rd choice so can afford to take a risk even if it's a CM.
