Are we only talking about smaller teams? I recall being horsed 8-1 by Celtic reserves a few years back...that wasn't pleasant at all.
Don't think they had a single first team player in the squad, a league cup game IIRC.

Kind of where I am however their manager had a lot more good will in the bank compared to Houston. They had a fired up support where ours generally has been pounded into submission to an extent.
Totally agree - we're heading in a direction that doesn't feel great. Some folk just seem to have given up hope now. Well depressing!

Had you got McHugh in when Loy got injured, you would most likely have missed the playoffs by a narrower margin. Lest we forget though, you were below us before Loy got injured too. The idea that the loss of Loy is all that stood between you and the playoffs is fanciful to say the least.

Think he is down looking at others not those who were kicked into touch.
Hopefully he comes up with the right options. Even allowing only for a modest increase in budget from last season you'd imagine we still have enough to get the right forward in and possibly a right back.

Islam Feruz?? There was a lot of fanfare about this lad a few years ago but he hasn't done anything at first team level even in a few loan spells.
I'm not saying he couldn't do well in this league as he must have something to have Chelsea offering him long term deals but he's in no way a target man, or experienced.

How did your mate know Will needed a place to stay if it had nothing to do with the club?
Surely there was SOMETHING to do with the club in those arrangements?

To hell with expectation, right now and for the first half of the season at least we should be aiming for the title. That way if we fall short we still get playoffs.
Even with better resources I see no reason we should expect defeat off anyone before a ball has been kicked. The knicker wetting going on just now, both on here and in particular on one f is getting tiring to say the least.

Was talking to guy before the game who might be signing. I'd say an exciting prospect, has played at international level...forward about 6ft....he said he has pace...played down south had games in premiership.
