  1. Who else did we get from the bargain bin that has been great? Certainly not Gondoh, Rose, Bangala, Pendelbury, Armaty (jury's out) sure Kenyan was from a higher league but was shite as well.
  2. That's at best. Wycombe and Lincoln seem like Real Madrid considering where we get some of the diddies from. Dipo being the only exception
  3. I remember there was talk of Liverpool wanting to sign him Went to that Dean Keenan testimonial and he was playing for Troon. He looked an absolute balloon. The years haven't been kind to him
  4. It was on the radio yesterday (iirc), just Bullen saying he didn't think there would be any new faces as the "3 midfielders" in the summer busted the spending. No idea why it was just making the radio news when it's old news
  5. Aye, definitely a sign of getting old! When Josh O'Connor was listed as a sub v us recently I felt so ancient, as I was quite a Garry O'Connor 4 Scotland!!!! fanboy back in the day
  6. Turner has always looked like a decent player, surprised he didn't get much game time at Ross County. Sure he signed around the same time as Jay Henderson who seems to have disappeared off a cliff. Anyway that's what we're resorting to, speaking about other teams signings seeing as we don't seem to be getting any going by Bullen on the radio
  7. The Friday night games love a "story" so can see the Duncan Ferguson connection to both being built up to excess. As an aside how many Fri night TV games has Dundee Utd being involved in this season? Honestly feels like half a dozen at least
  8. In other kinda related Ayr Utd news, I see Vinyl is closing. Know the owner is a money man with us and the club held a few events including Player of the year there
  9. Yip the kiosk was mobbed anytime I looked over. Cumnock would have certainly made a tidy profit from the day. Don't know if the crowd number was purely based on ticket sales, or if it included all the young girls that were mascots etc, but it was a busier day than I thought it would be. It's about 15 miles from Ayr to Cumnock
  10. Maybe ODea enjoyed a pishing wet Somerset when he was down for the Moffs testimonial Fairly grim pickings tbh in manger suggestions, either youth team managers , ex (or near ex in McGeadys case) players with a coaching badge, or the usual names pimped out for EVERY available managerial vacancy. Honestly depressing the thought of Bullen staying or who gets the job next
  11. McGeady and Mulgrew aye maybe on Si Ferrys show but hopefully not the Ayr touchline
  12. Was expecting the Ayr women to get a bigger hiding in all honesty.
  13. Watched the goals there on my phone. It's a decent sized screen but by fck was it hard to see what the hell was happening...apart from zooming in AFTER the goals. Hideous output to go along with hideous displays in "real life"
  14. He maybe was there and I just didn't see him. I thought he'd have been there being as thick as thieves with the rest of the ivory towers mob
  15. Didn't see him there. Just saw Smith and Mathie talking to Provan
  16. Smith and Mathie were up watching the women today. Doubt they'd have time to fire the BGM yet Hard lines for the lassies. 0-7 was the score but no real disgrace in that as better teams have been thumped more by celtic this season (Aberdeen etc)
  17. Think I'm heading along to see Ayr women v Celtic at the "illustrious"venue of Cumnock! Can only assume a thumping for the Ayr lassies but hoping for a miracle
  18. I still believe we have enough "quality" to at least not be bottom. Said I reckon we'd finish 7th (8th at worst). Performances at home especially have been grim and we certainly aren't getting value for our buck. I go along these days out of routine and blind faith rather than because I actually want to go see us. It's mostly a chore this season but nobody forces us along, we're all loyal fools
  19. Anyway, I'm scunnered with the men's team so can I take a moment to wish the ladies good luck for their big game tomorrow v one of the OF mob. Great occasion for them that deserved to be played at Somerset. Might try and get along to cumnock even though venturing into deepest darkest East Ayrshire goes against everything I stand for
  20. Hard to read FB comments inbetween betting scams and the Zambian contingent tbf! Sure it was Itzdrk that got blocked by Smith so he's definitely thin skinned. As others have said it wouldn't suprise me one bit if Bullen, Smith and Mathie were on here
  21. I think apathy has well and truly set in. With the run we've been on you'd expect a barrage of boos and GTF chants as soon as the 2nd goal went in. Seems like most are now shrugging their shoulders and saying meh, or not turning up at all. Weird time to be an Ayr fan with this malaise.
  22. Nah, he was at Somerset last weekend. The bold Dodds was on radio duty today. And Jane Lewis...she'd be a better option than Bullen, Davidson or Dodds imo!
  23. ICT didn't seem to be out of 3rd gear either which is a worry. Albinson looked shot of confidence after being "dropped". Pretty sure Smith, Mathie etc etc are content as long as the hub is busy and the NT stand is progressing well. Honestly can't see Bullen being punted any day soon
  24. Had to laugh that there was nothing mentioned in the email about the meet the players thing. Can only assume the room was read and they realised it could have got a bit messy! Wise decision
  25. Scotland's stand ups - seem just as shite as this game is.
