It's only 80% if your employer agrees to contribute to bring it up to that amount, govt will not be paying 80% beyond July.
There seems to be mixed messages in regards to that (there’s a surprise).

Furlough at 80% until Oct is both good and bad news, good in the sense that people aren’t going to be made unemployed, but bad because there’s obviously still sectors that won’t be back until at least then including mine (events industry). What else is likely not to be back until Oct?

Interesting wee news bit on bbc Scotland.
If the lockdown had started two weeks earlier then 2000 lives would have been saved in scotland.
Also one of the first outbreaks was in Edinburgh nike store in February.
BBC disclosure has more on iplayerI honestly didn’t know we had over 2000 deaths in Scotland so far. Last I heard it was about 1800

People are definitely NOT allowed to work on the employment they have been furloughed from,
Yeah. I know a beautician who’s been furloughed but she’s been working in a supermarket for over a month now

I know it’s not meant to be pleasant right now, but going shopping etc really is a horrible experience. Some workers and customers all masked up, the Perspex dividers and so much more. Even the local chippy staff were masked up today and I was only allowed to stand at the door and wait for my order.

Was this the guy who was naming random amateur players who probably didn't even exist?
Richey! Someone thought I was you on the Covid thread. Can you go on there and let them know you’re still around, he seemed worried about you

Get both done. It won't cost an arm and a leg.
Is it better to go to a back street place for those or Halfords/Kwik Fit?

It will if his wheel falls off and he crashes into a tree. With the “luck” I’ve had in the last year or so, I wouldn’t put it past this happening

So know you can go to the park etc and meet one member of family you don’t live with? As long as you stay 2m apart?
Edit - that may be england only?
Folk could have done that from Day 1 of the lockdown here (and indeed the rest of the UK)

Sainsbury’s on Saturday allowed me to go in and get a basket.

Aye.
I've wondered for weeks now if the weekend deaths are the true 24 hour figures, with the rest during the week made up of lag from previous days.
Doesn't seem to be any breakdown of that for Scotland.
It should also be noted that such tin pottery is not exclusive to Scotland, or indeed the UK
You’d think at a time like this, countries would decide to work weekends and report figures accurately. Baffling

5 covid deaths in Scotland in the latest briefing. I’m assuming the tinpot “we don’t work weekends” in regards to registering deaths is still in place?

I saw someone mention that Nicola Sturgeon had floated the idea of nurseries reopening in one of her interviews, does anyone have a link to it?
The plant or child type?

Exactly. Seems remiss not to mention it

After changing any suspension components it's advisable to have a wheel alignment carried out.
I’m not sure he does that. It’s just a wee back street place. Mod cons aren’t his thing

Quite disappointed BJ didn’t mention the garden centres

If I hear the term “new normal” on these news reports one more time, I’m going to throw the remote at the TV

My car got fixed last week, the anti drop lock and a spring. I hadn’t drove it at speed until today. Any I went over 65mph the steering wheel would vibrate, not excessively so but certainly noticeable. Very annoying

Tbh I don’t think BJ will say much different tonight than what Sturgeon has announced. Unlimited excercise is an excuse to be out the house from morning to night. BJ will probably say about garden centres reopening but aside from that I don’t think it will be much different than the Scottish “lockdown”

Are you saying you’d rather people didn’t wear them going forward? Or that you’re happy for people to wear them but just personally don’t like the look of them?
The latter.
Until it’s a legal requirement I won’t be wearing one

I was reading about football in Germany starting this weekend and how it may return in the UK behind closed doors within a month or so. Surely they’d need to have stewards/security outside the grounds to try and stop fans from trying to force entry into the ground, or just gathering with a carry out to listen to any cheers when there’s goals?
