Just out of interest, who is United's game in hand against and is there a date for it to be played?
Away to Morton.
A pissing wet night in Greenock defending Lewis Strapp throw-ins and getting kicked and elbowed all over the park by Imrie's gang.

You could change the date format to mm.dd.yyyy.
And put the away team first as they do in American ice hockey.
12-16-23 Raith Rovers @ Dundee United.

How was there that Mich injury time?
To be fair, the Raith TV commentators were expecting 2-3 minutes for the subs and not much else.

There's still a fair amount of tickets not yet released in the stand we're in.
I think the centre section was released first. That's where I'm sitting. I hope you're right as I know folk who have gone for decades who don't yet have tickets.

Looks like the shed is sold out.
Hopefully they give us any spare tickets for the main stand seeing as we gave them extra tickets for Stark's Park.

Standard question, where is good to park for the game?
If you're there early enough you'll get parked beside the amusements.
It's metered during the day at the harbour now, but possibly free at night.

We've definitely made progress this season under the new investors, but just think how far ahead of the pack we could have been if we had Gordon Smith and Mike Delios with his keepie-up king son pulling the strings in the middle of the park.

The ‘Linktown Derry’ is a flag very much from the past. back in the 70’s /80’s this was the name given to the local links street gang that ran about the area acting the tough nuts. They are from the days of supporters changing ends at half time and all you seen was the stoor blowing out of the railway shelter as they passed each other with arms and legs swinging at each other as they passed. Think the flag owner may have been on of the originals with a ‘reminiscent’ flag. I’m sure it relates to that rather than anything more sinister.
Spot on, Spot On.
In the days when "Hello, hello we are the Rovers boys" was regularly sung, the last was "For we are the Linktown Derry Boys".

Has there been any sort of rough date given for our friendly against Las palmas yet? Just booked up for puerto rico yesterday so hoping it ties in.
Not as far as I know, but they'll probably fly out and use las Palmas as a training camp in the week leading up to the Scottish Cup final and will probably want a friendly as our league season will have finished a few weeks before .

There was much to like in the Rovers' performance yesterday, but what hasn't yet been mentioned was the magnificent tackle from Shaun Byrne which started the move leading to the penalty.

I might be wrong but are they not kinda saying "well done Raith" whilst pointing their own team hardly ever does it? Don't see any conspiracy theories at all?
That was my take on it as well.
With the exception of one or two roasters, and every club including us has them, most Arab posts I've read have been very respectful towards Rovers.

Reading the opening few posts of this thread, it's just great to be engaging with proper fans of a proper club after the binfire with these teuchtar mutants on P&B after yesterday's game.

What happened with the RaithTV guys after the penalty? Couldn't make out what was happening.
Apparently guys who were in hospitality kicked off at them. Probably Duncan Ferguson's family.

Won the game via a dodgy penalty and all they care about is opposition fans. It’s what you expect from a wee team that wins nothing and employs rapists.
Never mind neebur. Your wee sister will suck it better for you when you get home tonight.

Teuchtars chucking stuff at the Raith TV guys. Makes it all the sweeter.
Get it right fuckin up that big thug.

I don't get the notion that these things add atmosphere.
I've been to East End and many other away grounds in the past where Rovers fans have generated a magnificent atmosphere without the need for them.
I can't imagine they're completely free of fire risk and I can't imagine anyone with asthma or some other respiratory condition would be happy to be in the vicinity of the smoke.
Unfortunately, unless the police and stewards get their collective fingers out and start lifting the perpetrators, someone is going end up getting hit with one and end up taking the law into their own hands. And I can't imagine any such person being short of offers of free pints were that to happen.

Two things wrong here -
1- It doesn't say whether it's their first penalty or last penalty of the match that wins the pot (bear in mind Andrew Dallas gave them four in a game against St Mirren not so long ago) and
2- 95 isn't nearly high enough. If they're struggling and in need of a penalty, it could go to 100 minutes easily.

Turn right off Halbeath road towards the hospital.
Left along Robertson Road to Bellyeoman, then walk down through the cemetery. Much easier getting away than parking on the Garvock side.

It's a shame that it's necessary to issue a statement like this, but it had to be done.
The only bit I'd disagree with is "advised" not to bring pyrotechnics. I'd have used "strictly forbidden" to leave them in no uncertain terms.
I still can't understand the point of stewards frisking everyone on the way in then standing watching while folk hold them for a good few seconds before chucking them.

To be fair, I thought some of Middleton's set piece deliveries were excellent. Thankfully we defended most of them very well and managed to scramble the rest clear.
