  1. These are the nights you live for.

I honestly thought the Pars would be pumped up tonight after feeling agreived at losing the last derby, and our makeshift defence would be in for a long night, but Murray got his tactics spot on. For years we've sat back at East End and invited Dunfermline onto us, but it was absolutely the correct decision to attack from the start and play the game in their half.

No weaknesses in the Rovers side tonight, but I said we'd need composure, commitment and concentration to have any chance and Captain Broon obliged on all three counts.

When you could spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon playing 'Arthur Montford Bingo,' with  ..."Up Go The Heads" ..."Sporting Handshakes All Round" ...."Goalmouth Stramash" ..& "Goodbye For The Present" ....constituting a highly satisfactory Full House.

And "Yesterday's match of the day was at Tannadice, but our cameras were at Cappielow".

I used to love it when part two started after the ads and it homed in on the ball in the centre circle and all you could see were the socks of the guys about to take centre.

How? The terms of the loan are fixed, not mutable, and the period is until January. The only way to cancel a non-keeper loan is if BOTH teams agree. Since he’s already played for us in other cups, I suspect the Scottish Cup would be no different, but I guess if it was written into the loan…does anyone know?

I meant that Dundee might want him back in January, therefore they might not want him cup-tied by having a clause in the loan.

They would have no problem with him playing in the other cups as Dundee aren't in the challenge cup and the league cup is finished before January.

Bryne’s next contract will most likely be lower than his Dundee one.  But any suggestion that a guy currently on premiership wages, playing well at the top end of the championship will suddenly sign for someone without costing that club a notable amount of money is just mental.   Not saying he isn’t affordable for you, just that it isn’t a no brainer as suggested by your free comment.

If he knows his contract isn't going to be renewed at Dundee and Rovers were to offer an 18 month or two year deal, he might well sever his ties with Dundee without it costing the Rovers a substantial amount of money.

Who knows? Maybe Dundee have been impressed with him, want him back, and therefore ban him from playing on Friday.

That's up to you & you've every right to do that.

Charge home fans whatever you want but away fans shouldn't be railroaded into subsidising your future fanbase.

Dunfermline's under 12s got in free as well.

I agree that £24 is steep for Championship football, but I also think £15 for a 13 year old at East End is steep.

Saddened to hear about the passing of Gordon Wallace (Mk 2).

Saw him at the end of his time with the Rovers before he was transferred to Dundee Utd.

He left for Dundee United weeks before I started going to games.

I was at school with his son Dean and his wife Diane took the Tuesday night Cubs in Dunnikier.

    Very sad news.

Good grief, watching the full match replay, and that Murray lunge! The punch idea was nuts, but what a mental challenge…

Rereading the Rules, it appears red is regardless of competition, so Murray is out for Accies and Pars.

So how come Liam Dick missed the Pars away game, after his red at Easter Road, and will serve his second game in our first league cup game of next season?

That’s unbelievable considering he was still at Celtic when these games were played 😂😂😂😂

Bobby Wilson would have been the manager then and I can't imagine him picking a fight.

In fairness to Wellyboot, there was a ding dong between Connor and fans at Meadowbank. Possibly 87/88 when we punched above our weight for most of the season before running out of steam, and a defeat at Meadowbank effectively ended our title hopes. Some fans turned on the players and I think that's when Connor offered to reason with them over a quiet pint in the Golden Gates across the road.
