  1. Chicks view from 2002 "When they conduct the post-mortem on the death of the once-beautiful game in this country, there will be only one verdict: suicide. The killing of Scottish football will be self-inflicted. But it won't have fallen on a sword or swallowed an overdose. This is death by financial strangulation - and it put the noose around its own neck. What have we done to the old man? For 100 years, he strode along fit and healthy and financially stable, but now he is all but battered into submission, ready to give up the ghost and I don't know whether to be angry or sad.... But I have a problem with clubs who can eject their debt by going into administration and then resume normal service in the same division while former employees - and not just players - are left drowning in a sea of debt. It is morally wrong. " My, my Mr Young. How one's opinion changes over time.. John McVeigh is a tit
  2. Apparently they do. Our chairman is really good at answering our fans emails. Also, our club is very open with it finances and how it is run. ( in my opinion.) There is critism of the board but that is usually answered by other fans. For example, a poster accused our board of taking money from the club. Because our finance are placed online this could be refuted by other posters. Listen, I'm wasn't having a dig at you. You have every right to defend your club. If MCL is just a troublemaker then I apologies but from his post he does get a very hard time. ( Maybe there is history that i don't know of).
  3. @MCL Are you banned from watching home games or is it away games also? I'm a St Mirren supporter and if you go on blackandwhitearmy you will see that we have quite a few supporters that are disatisfied with a lot of aspects of the running of our football team. We have 3( i think) supporters that wear scarlet and blue scarves as a protest against our current board. OnB&WArmy, these supporters don't get ridiculed ( well only a little and its not personal) and they definately not banned from games. Maybe this is because we haven't had the problems that LIvi have had. In essence, what I'm trying to say is that, although you disagree with the Trust and their actions, you are still a livi supporter and thus you should be shouting from the rafters if you think things are wrong with your club. If you are wrong, other supporters should be able to argue against you and , if Livi are whiter than white, provide evidence that you are wrong. But most of all is that you are all Livi supporters and all want success for you team. This SHOULDN'T become personal. This in-fighting just take supporters' eye of what is important. Livi long term survival both on and off the pitch.
  4. Cool(I think). But isn't that his perogative? If he is just taking pot shots and these pot shots are untrue, why can't it be answered professionally( through the board/trust) as transparency is the best defence against these sort of accusations? Either that or just ignore him. How long is MCLs ban from Almondvale lasting for? I still say that it is MCL right as a Livi supporter to question both the board and the trust. Being banned from going to Almondvale seems petty and TBH, as if the board/Trust has something to hide.
  5. Have I missed something cos MCL does get a hard time from Livi Supporters? Why is he "not welcome at Livingston FC"? Is that official and he is actually banned? If that is true, well I'd be completely shocked!! With Livis' history, wouldn't you prefer supporters who question the board/trust( what is the livi Trust?) every step of the way so that mistakes of the past never happen again. At the end of the day ,Livi having a secure future should be paramount to all supporters. If I have picked this up wrong then please accept my apology. PS What is the Livi Trust? What input have they got? Have they got someone on Livis board. Are Livi fans happy about the job that they are doing to preserve Livis future? PPS All the best in the new season. Do you think that successive promotions is possible?
  6. Only popping in on this thread ,as tbh it has nothing to do with me,(except that i stayed in West Lothian for a couple of years) BUT if MCL has an agenda would it not be better to be completely open with the answers. I honestly do believe that MLC has got Livingstone FC at heart when he is asking these questions. No football team is whiter than white, so dissenting voices should be heard so the club can go forward in the long term. And if the Club/Trust is doing their jobs correctly, there should be no fear in telling the whole truth, even if that truth in unpalatable. Hope this makes sense as my hangover is horrendous!
