Arthurlie the Invincibles
Drumchapel Utd 5 minutes away from the top league plus silverware (twice) and into the big Scottish Cup.
Yoker for reaching a Junior Cup final after about 90 years.
I'll hold off on Darvel till Saturday night.

Unfortunately that won’t happen back in 1972 the night rangers won the cup winners cup Scotland played Wales at hampden so the European final wasn’t even live on tv.
Correct
I was at Hampden.

Since some of the Blazers are connected to our top clubs in the Wosfl then it's goodbye and goodnight when they get promoted to the LL.
Unlike the Juniors were they hung around for decades.
Image trying some of these tricks in a serious professional league.

What happens to the Rossvale going into Tier 7 if Rossvale academy are admitted? Surely you can’t have two clubs in the same set up with the same badge, base club etc? (Unless you are Celtic, Rangers or Hearts lol)

This is obviously a topic which is provoking lots of opinion but imo it's a badly named thread.
@Glenconner any chance of changing the name?
Done.
In hindsight yer man is obviously a complete Patsy.
Let's see how the rest of the Blazers deal with this and the Cambuslang cup tie farce.
Anything less than a 30 point deduction for Blantyre Vics starting next season is a travesty.
And Cambuslang Rangers shouldn't be allowed anywhere near that cup competition next season.

Won't matter to them. There's no North counterpart to the SCC and only a handful will play in the Scottish Cup.
Semi finals and final in the Junior Cup come with financial guarantees. Think it was £5k in the semis and £12k in the final.
£12K for a final.
And punters on here tried to say the Peasy management/committee fall out wasn't over money.

For the North and Midlands leagues the Junior Cup is still their top prize and they won't want to scrap it for nothing.
One team from North and Midlands in the quarter final.
Wonder when one of them will reach a final never mind winning it.

Correct my beef is that Glenafton should’ve had no say in rearranging the game as the League should’ve automatically sorted that out given the clash with the Euro final but by not making that call it allowed Glen’s to use it to their advantage.

Would Blantyre or Cambuslang have had a full team if it was Celtic in those finals?

So the last match of this season this afternoon at the Falkirk stadium. Expect there to be a decent crowd rather than a big crowd. Who would have thought that 2 former Junior foes would have met in the final of this trophy, which is now the biggest cup competition in South Scotland. Would be great to finish the season with another trophy before we climb the staircase to level 4 next season. The Talbot may be using this as a warm up to the junior cup final. Hope the players have some energy left after their week of small celebrations and we can finish the season in style.
C’mon The Rose
And the attendance was?

Guessing the old ex Juniors from the West will end up bossing this cup.

Threave Rovers are already applying to the WoSFL and would be starting at whatever the bottom is. Which they obviously seem happy with otherwise they wouldn't have been applying in the first place.
Threave Rovers have been in more leagues than Rangers.

much of a crowd ?
No idea, car broke down at Strathaven, couple of guys from Blantyre on their way back from Seville tried to help.
Some other guy from Cambuslang offered a lift but he seemed a bit lost.
Think he said he was going to Darvel.

I'd suggest you look at some of the leagues.
More than two clubs have two teams in different leagues.
Pretty sure there's quite a few in the North juniors which given they also mention highland league is eminently a possible for them.
Why don't you go and watch them then.

So you don’t care about the 81 years our club spent in the juniors?
The Juniors might have been still around been had the SFA years back opened the big Scottish Cup up a bit to the top say 10/15 clubs in each Region.

Yes.
Always thought it looked a good set up at Dumbarton.
2000 seater stand with plenty of room for development if you needed it.
Never really put you in the Albion Rovers bracket.

What I will say is it’s great to see the ecumenical make up of the Blantyre team. 7 of the squad shows the impact of a real community club.
At least they made an effort.
Cambuslang Rangers just told them to eff off.
