We started absolutely terribly. I know the manager is new but it looked like the players had never met each other before. When Lewis Stevenson looks like he doesn't know how to play left wing back, something is going horribly wrong.
We haven't gotten any better since the red card, but we've been helped by Dunfermline getting much worse.
Reckon the Pars still win this by virtue of a bit of magic from one of their more mercurial players, they've certainly got a couple who can win a game like this, but they don't look like McPake has a plan to play our ten men.
Can't see a goal for the Rovers if we play all night. We might sneak a shot on target if we can get Vaughan on, but relying on Josh Mullin running 60 yards unimpeded and sticking a cross onto Callum Smith's forehead looks like something of a long shot, to say the least.

Seems strange as you were 2nd top scorer in the league last season with something like 82 goals.
From the outside, it looks a little bit like last season's Dundee United. On their day, capable of blowing some teams away (I think Collins won his first game 7-0) and racking up a big goal difference in the process, but also struggling more weekends than they should given the expectations of the club.
There were plenty moments last season, including very late on, where Dundee United were either too or just off it, and had by far the biggest goal difference, but the fans wanted him emptied.
Looking at how they've started the new season it seems the board were right to stick with Goodwin, but I don't think there would've been many raised eyebrows if he had gone.
With Collins it looks similar. The expectations are as relevant as the actual results themselves (and I don't think that's a bad or a wrong thing.)

David Moyes and Robbie Raeside both suggested within about four posts of one another. We need a new manager appointed just so that folk stop making an absolute nuisance of themselves on this website, above all else.

Irrelevant sideshow. Football matches are for losers. Real ones only care about chasing managerial rumours out of the six counties and interrogating Andrew Barrowman's body language from a print interview.

Did Potter not say in his post match interview that the player who was “fouled” in the build up to our second actually admitted that he slipped?
Really minor point to be coming back to more than a day later, but Potter was referring to Callum Smith who was dispossessed (because he slipped) on the edge of Ayr's box. There's a much clearer foul later in the break on Lewis Stevenson who's the only defender with half a chance of preventing the goal.
It's all academic, though. The game was over the second Shaun Byrne's hand touched the ball.

I'm sure David Healy will be itching to sign this deal.
The unique combination of being forced to live in Kirkcaldy with zero job security is un-turn-downable.

Yeah, that wasn't worth the time it took.

"Can't guarantee an appointment this week" doesn't seem particularly surprising, given it's already Thursday night.

Yeah, Kooz, stop being so pendemic.

How much money do you think you would've lost getting out of League One with a board of reactionary immediate success seekers, as opposed to the mere one million pounds under these spendthrift long-termist custodians?

Can't believe you lot want to win football games, and aren't even genuflecting at the feet of these visionaries who used Fife Council money to build a training park in Rosyth.
Ungrateful louts.

Could've saved themselves a lot of typing by just posting a stock image of a crying baby.
What a terrible, laughable statement.

I did. It doesn't say that. It doesn't say anything like that, much like The Courier didn't have anything about Barrowman insisting the new manager live in Kirkcaldy, despite you claiming otherwise.
You're actively making this website worse. Please stop.

Brown for me would be a gamble on a lot of levels. Does anyone know of anyone who the club have spoken to? I was told Brown had been to Starks, cant see that as he would have been seen surely!
If you take the rumour at face value, it would appear that he was.

It doesn't make for a particularly easy waiting period, but complete silence, in terms of a lack of leaks, from the club is infinitely preferable to the opposite.

Is there any chance that it's Liam Fox the former Defence Minister? Or even an actual fox who's just called Liam?

The Scott Brown rumours have been oddly persistent. On the face of it, it doesn't make any sense, but I've heard a couple of different links from a few different people.
