  1. Better get the popcorn ready. This'll be good to watch. Nocknosh, whose team play in a council funded community facility, has a go at Talbot getting council money. Release the hounds!!!!!!!!
  2. My gobby reply? Taking it sore Wee Burnie, aren't you?
  3. Oh dear, I knew it wouldn't be long till you turned this into another Pyramid thread. What's wrong wee man, somebody stole yer scone? Your Pyramid thread had disappeared off the page, and you're desperate for any excuse to resurrect it. So well done you.
  4. C'mon out o my back pocket son, and try again. You had a go at Talbot because your Bluebells advantage has been nullified and you don't like it because it goes against your argument that the Junior fraternity doesn't look after its own.
  5. What point exactly? How does moving Talbot's game affect Lanark and Glencairn? You're moaning about them getting treated differently, yet Whitletts, who are the team getting inconvenienced have looked at the bigger picture and are willing to help another team out. Surely your moan about tournament dates and times should have been addressed at the AGM? If you'd no complaints at that point, then perhaps it's time to shut it and be grateful that your team has actually made it to the quarters. There might just be a few teams out there that would like to be in your position.
  6. Oh my, what a poor attempt at deflection. Losing your touch Wee Burnie?
  7. Oh look, Wee Burnie's not happy that his EOSL team aren't getting the big advantage they thought they were getting.
  8. Obviously a moan for the sake of moaning. If your players struggled to get to Cambuslang last night for 6.45 and you're now moaning about getting to Lanark for 6.45, how would moving it 2 weeks later for a 6.30 ko help? And don't give us the shite about more notice, you've known about the quarter final date since the AGM. If your team didn't plan for the possibility of being in the quarters, that's your team's own fault.
  9. This'll need to stop!!!! A Hurlford and Glenafton love-in???? What's the junior game coming to???? [emoji848]
  10. Just proves my point that some folk haven't a clue about the format. What you're suggesting could throw up Largs v Lesmahagow or Cumbernauld v Kello. I can imagine that raising a few moans if it's to be a 6,45 ko on a Monday night.
  11. Looks like some folk have no idea how this cup works.
  12. That'll be the Premiership team manager that could only get 1 point off a Championship team. Hmmm? I wonder why he'd come out with a comment like that.
  13. He'd have even less to count if you'd have him trying to get his team to Forth or Carluke on a Wednesday night. I think you're missing the point of the Sectional aspect of it. Clubs get a chance to play local teams that otherwise they're unlikely to meet.
  14. The clubs had an opportunity to bin this competition and voted not to. So it must still have relevance to them. Forming the groups with regards to league positions would only make them elitist and I doubt if the lesser clubs would be in favour of that. I'd hazard a guess that the Ardeer treasurer was not ready for slashing his wrists over the 9 nil scoreline, as he'd be too busy counting his share of the gate. Besides that, the groups change for next season, so who knows what they'll look like then.
  15. Let's not be kidded here. The reason that Dalkieth, Dunipace and the like, jumped in was because they thought that they could steal a march on the rest of the junior clubs. They went in, thinking that it was to be 1 single feeder league to the Lowland League. But the EOSL didn't get the target clubs that they thought would be desperate to follow Kelty, so in their greed, they kept the applications open. Even after the numbers became unmanageable for one league then 2 leagues. No, they kept it open until they got their targets and closed the shop with 3 leagues of 13. So, now those first set of clubs are as far away as they ever were from the LL. and just as unlikely as they ever were from reaching it. All that they have achieved is that they have raised the hackles of the clubs above the LL, who are now closing ranks to protect themselves and their share of the pie. But, ach well, at least they are able to claim that they are a 'Senior' club.
  16. 'Name in lights'. [emoji1] [emoji1] Getting a bit desperate now, Al.
  17. It's good to know I'm in yours. Thanks for the dislike though. It shows that I'm on the right track.
  18. And yet another thread is turned into a propaganda exercise for the absolutely fabulous and brilliant Pyramid by their very own Mata Hari.
  19. And what route do you think that will be?
  20. Just for those that suffer from 'hard of thinking' I was referring to the possibility of lower league clubs getting together to bring about changes that would not meet favour with SPFL clubs. Which cannot now happen due to the voting restrictions to be imposed on any future licences.
  21. And yet, not one club, West, East or North, not one of them appears to agree with you. Oh and here's some more info for you. I attended a lot of games throughout the season (Junior Games, by the way. So I can't comment on others) and I believe I heard pyramid being mentioned at least, hmmm, let me see now, oh it must have been at least, --------------- nope, sorry, never. I have to come here to find out what it's all about.
  22. Sorry, hate that predictive texting thingmy, should have read Dunipace. Thanks for pointing out my error.
  23. So, is that the same as when the EOSL got Dalkeith and Dunipace instead of Bo'ness and Linlithgow Rose?
  24. Now, don't get upset, Burnie. It would seem that all your efforts to destroy the 'Juniors' and TJ have failed. From what I can gather, the clubs accepted that the 'done deal' had been promised and then later withdrawn by the cowardly SFA. It would seem that they are backing away from promoting the Pyramid due to pressure from the SPFL clubs who are fearful of their own positions of power being eroded due to an influx of more licensed clubs than they anticipated. Hence the reason behind making the licence harder to achieve and reducing the power of that license to an 'Associate Membership' until the Lowland League. Thus insuring that with only 16 LL clubs, they wont be able to force any unwanted change onto to SPFL. (ie- automatic relegation) At the AGM a report was given regarding the 'Pyramid' negotiations and not one question was raised from that report. It seems that the clubs are happy to leave the future of the Pyramid talks in the hands of their Management and TJ because they have every faith that these men are solely interested in securing the best possible outcome for the clubs in their care.
