  1. The rumour is that they want to ensure that only people going to the game are heading down to the ground, they want to close Castle Road and you won't get up that way without a ticket. It doesn't make much sense to me either but I really would not be surprised, they went mob handed when 100 Hamilton fans came to town, clearly shitting themselves here.

I think it'll cause more problems than it'll solve but it looks like we need to deal with it.

But you would have a ticket? A season ticket. Not sure why the police wanting to close this road changes anything.
  2. Why is spending money on Rangers by buying a ticket to Ibrox valued more than spending £100, £200 or even £500 in the club shop?

    What benefits HMFC more?

Does it make you more of a loyal fan because you enjoy going to away games with your mates compared to someone that prefers to see all their money directed towards HMFC?

It's not really that important to me as I have yet to have a problem getting tickets for an away game that I was interested in attending, but we must add incentives for folk to spend their money on HMFC rather than the away team.

Loyalty points for match tickets should be given to people who buy the most match tickets. It's simple really, reward people who go to games. If you want a reward for buying merchandise you should have a merchandise loyalty scheme which gets you discount on merchandise. There's plenty of hypothetic situations where someone who doesn't go to many games could end up with more points than someone who does to most games. In no way is this fair purely because they buy a fee strips every season.
  3. The ticket thing is a load of drivel. If you buy a season ticket (which comes with an allocated seat) you are buying that seat for the season. It doesn't matter if you go to every game or not it's your right to choose as you've paid for it. If you can't make it the seat lies empty unless you give it to someone else. Making season ticket holders go and pick up tickets is a no no. I live in Aberdeen, if we had the same system as you I'd have to go and pick up a ticket before the game? No thanks.

Not really sure the above point about proof of residency to avoid away fans in the home end. The police won't have any interest in this what's so ever. If there's tickets on sale for the home end it will be first come first served. No one will give a toss where they come from, if away fans manage to get there in time they will buy them. Happens all the time sadly.

  4. I don't go to too many away games, probably just 3 or 4 a season, but with three kids I spend a small fortune in the Club Shop. It would help(me) if loyalty points were added for club shop spend and possibly FOH membership.

    Nonsense.

Loyalty points for match tickets should only be accrued through the purchase of match tickets. Nothing else.

  5. And if Josh, or any player for that matter, gets upset by a couple of comments on an internet forum then I suggest they get down the shop and buy a thicker skin. He'll take far more abuse the first time he misplaces a pass or flaps at a cross.

This is absolutely spot on. Our fans are bad for moaning about what people post on P&B about players. Fact is I'd rather fans vented on here than actually at the games. It's exactly what a forum is for - the 'you can comment but only if you say nice things' attitude is fucking tragic.

  6. Got to love the Keyboard managers. Had a good chuckle to reading some of the post.

I don't see what the fuss is all about. As long as he sticks to his budget and we're winning games then who cares? Sign as many GK as you want.

So what are fans allowed to talk about then? Just so we know for future reference without being branded a 'key board warrior'.

Also, I'm not sure how making am entirely valid point about another team upsets fans so much. 'Why should a Cowden fan care!!1!1'.

  7. The way I look at it Lumsdem could easily act as your sub keeper filling in on the bench every week and still playing youth football - unless the games now clash which I would be shocked with. This makes it all the more strange to sign two other goalkeepers when the intention was still to sign another one again. His testimonial should have had no bearing on his deal at all. If Ewings is an injury doubt punt him, don't offer him a deal.
