One quarter of transplant-quality, donated kidneys in the USA are thrown in the bin.
17% of donor organs in the USA are first offered to patients who are already deceased.
The contractor used to deliver organs in the USA is fifteen times more likely to lose or damage one in transit than an airline is to do the same to a suitcase.
Why don't they just stick them in suitcases and on a flight, then?

That is the most obvious but also unsatisfying explanation.
Out of interest, why is it unsatisfying when the rules seem clear on it?

Ok, I've largely stayed out of this, but it has gone on far too long.
You have all left me no alternative.... I'm lobbing in the "what about tiffin?" grenade and running away!!

I'm going to miss this now, so is there any chance that there will be somewhere in Dublin city centre that will be showing this live? Don't even know if you get UK Sky Sports in Ireland? I presume it won't be difficult to find people who want us to win (although not out of any love for Dundee, I would guess), but don't know if it's likely to be a major draw there...
A draw would be fantastic assuming we've already beaten the Dons tomorrow (or Hibs and 'well draw).

Afternoon tea is taken around three and is a pot of tea with light savoury snacks and cake.
high tea around 4.30 to five, usually a lighter meal which can be combined with a later supper to substitute for the more urbane dinner, taken around 6.30 to 7.30. (“Dinner” is often used as a synonym for lunch. This used to be the preserve of the lower orders but standards have dropped and it’s entered common usage in polite society.)
I feel like elevenses and brunch have been sadly underrepresented in this pointless debate.
Whether it's high tea or afternoon tea (originally afternoon tea was taken around 4pm b.t.w.) the point stands - tea is a short form for afternoon/high tea so perfectly reasonable to take it around 4:30pm or 5pm.
Elevenses and brunch - there's a can of worms being opened right there.

Luckily I have one of the few jobs for life, with only 23 year’s service I am starting to become one of the old guard, especially lucky where being dyslexic isn’t important but engineering skills are.
My post wasn't intended to be taken seriously.
So their!

You wouldn't last 2 minutes on LinkedIn with grammar like that.
(I'm not saying that's a bad thing, mind you).

Tea as a meal is something the Queen had with Paddington Bear!

I have noticed that the folk arguing that lunch is dinner, dinner is tea, lunch no longer exists, and tea is also tea, are chipper-bothering Dundonians.
Huge relief. I was worried that this was a real thing for a minute.
Where do you stand on the 'luncheon' chat?
And, while I'm at it - surely tea is just an abbreviation for afternoon tea which is taken at...?

I'm not happy with you. You're getting close to Dobbies land chat here.
Supper is usually Frosties. Or if flush with ungodly amounts of money - Cinnamon Grahams.
A cup of tea and two slices of toast (actually one slice cut in half) was our supper for about 15 years - every f*****g night for 15-odd years!

"Hey sexy lady, I'd like to invite you to dinner."
"Sounds good. When shall we meet?"
"Half past noon"
See what I mean?
Half past noon? FFS.
Half-twelve in the normal world.

Normal = Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner - Supper
Acceptable = Breakfast - Dinner - Tea - Supper

Everybody is talking about Dens Rd but the only time I remember any drai age problems it was Cleppy Rd about two year ago and it was all crumbling.
Aye...it might be one of those where something becomes fact by virtue of how often it's repeated.

And if today’s game and Wednesday’s game go ahead as planned, they will be completed at the same time. If they don’t, that is nothing to do with how the SPFL have scheduled the fixtures.
You seem a bit touchy.

That’s not a consideration. There’s been many examples over the years of a team in contention for the top 6 playing at a different time to the rest.
The issue will be that the SPFL will want to release the fixtures as soon as possible after next week’s games are done.
I was giving them credit for trying to introduce an element of professionalism and fairness to the system!

They've got the midweek of 16th/17th April before that too.I think they're trying to ensure all games before the split are completed at the same time if they could impact on top 6.

Dunno why we’re being told to rip the pitch up if the problem is actually the drainage on Dens Road.
It has been suggested many times, but has it been confirmed this is the problem? If so, surely Scottish Water and/or the cooncil should be on the hook as well.

Exactly the type of information that we need. Could you go down there with an old pair of fitba boots and see if the bit behind the waltzers "will take a stud"?

So Dens has plumbing issues but a stadium 200 yards away is completely unaffected by this problem?
My neighbours drains were blocked a few months back yet mine's were fine. A matter of 2-3 yards apart.
Amazing, eh?

Late to this but I hope someone has claimed only one end of Tannadice Street has a microclimate.
I find all the moaning a bit ott...we play an outdoor sport in a wet country, occasionally a team will have a royal f**k up with their pitch. They didn't do it on purpose and screaming at them to take drastic action in mid season is daft.
Shrug it off as a quirk to be dealt with and check they're making a reasonable attempt at fixing it in summer.
Aye.
