AFAIK, still under contract for another season at Killie, wouldn't have thought they would be freeing players under contract with out a new manager in place yet. To answer your question, he shite. If you do happen to sign him, your better sparing your embarrassment by sending him back on loan to us for the season [emoji6]
I think Wilf has been quoted a few times in recent years with regard to the club not producing a full set of accounts in recent years, so this doesn't look to be anything new (unless I've misunderstood, which is entirely possible).
The silence is deafening. Looking at the facts: Duffy himself has alluded to being contracted for next season Duffy has also suggested that he needs convincing to stay The club have said hee haw about the contract situation None of this suggests we are comfortable in the current climate and and as others have said, how long is this position sustainable?
Missed that as I tuned in late, was interested to see if he was spouting mince and the missus phones just as he was starting to talk [emoji36]. Queens 2 up in case anyone's interested interested.
And what's the chances that any form of decision has been reached down at the rock... probably about as much as Rory Loy being handed a contract extension.
I'm not sure I've ever been anything other than used to a sizeable turnover on a limited budget as a Dumbarton fan and i'm sure we're not unique in that respect either.
Goes to show, I though Ferguson was one of our most consistent performers, not flashy or likely to be a game changer but reliable and did the simple things well. Our form improved dramatically with him in the team.
The club and Duffy will have a deadline for a decision, would be nice to know what that is. Would also expect the club to have drawn up a shortlist in the event of Duffy moving on
Dunno, is he not supposed to be tied up to the end of next season? Tbh... I think the season we've just had would enough to make most managers run for the hills (one notable ginger headed exception, of course).
No. I would like to think there would be an agreement for him to quitely slip out the back door in the summer. Depends on Duffy thinks he's worth the risk.
I always got the impression Stevie's approach to recruitment was based around players he liked or were a big enough name for him. The actual building of a team was a secondary concern.
With gal like some, we could end up with worse, we could end up with better. A lot will depend on budget, scouting, availability and Duffy's powers of persuasion. If we are confident of 3/4 of them, then we should probably start with a blank slate.
