  1. I have no idea, putting 2 and 2 together to make 5. Stevie has left, Atchison is still listed as a player, no formal announcement has been made, yet he is still AWOL. Durrant may well be on his way this week and if Atchison returns under a new gaffer, I think we can assume the old management team were the reason. Like I said I'm spitballing with the facts that are known.
  2. Or Durrant is the reason he wanted away?
  3. Okay ignore me. Murray's been confirmed.
  4. Nothing on p&b or social media yet, which is unusual. What's the source?
  5. And every other job in Scotland if you believe rumours.
  6. Quite often they will watch from the stands before formally taking over. Either way, I'm happy the club aren't rushing into an appointment.
  7. Fatigued after a day's work + small keyboard/screen + autocorrect = plenty of mistakes.
  8. McPherson is now technical director at st mirren, I doubt he'll want to give that up.
  9. I'm not convinced that Ian Murray would be the answer, if anything I suspect he might ruin his status amongst the support. He performed heroics the first time round but that was with a very capable Jack Ross as his assistant for most of the good stuff. The appointment of Spalding was baffling and it started to go wrong in the end. Judging by what I have heard, the way he handled his departure and how distant he was from training at St Mirren,he didn't leave on good terms with either board. In the past few days someone mentioned he had applied for every job in Scotland, it appears that no one is biting and that cant be good if true.
  10. Excellent article. I wondered the same thing over the weekend, what happened to the Stevie Aitken that we started with? At what point did he abandon the belief in attacking football?
  11. Your a bundle of joy. What we don't know is what has been agreed between both parties. What we do know is Aitken's tenure had become unattainable and it was the right thing to do.
  12. Must have missed him, did he mention the injury situation before departing?
  13. Not sure how they reached that conclusion in the current climate. Anyway, what's the odds on a number of the "injuries" clearing up before the Arbroath game?
  14. Doubt it and tbh.. I'd rather get a defender in.
  15. Changer yer profile.. or have you grown accustomed to it?
  16. Gives us a bit of time to sort things out.
  17. I question Durrant's contribution in all of this, with his pedigree as a player and being involved in coaching, I would expect to see an impact in our play such as use of the ball and ball retention. I'm not quite sure what benefit we get other than him being the players pal.
  18. I doubt he will stay beyond the end of his current contract, so the only reason I can think he hasn't been emptied is financial. I mentioned this a while ago and I might be wrong but I was under the impression that if an agreement can't be reached these things end up at tribunals to decide a settlement. Anyone itk?
  19. A lot will depend on what is in the contract which I doubt anyone has access to. In most permanent and contract jobs there is a notice period which is required to be served regardless of which party invokes it. I don't think this is case in football. The only time a termination is allowed with no recompense is under a breach of contract and again the devil will be in the detail of the contract. I think what I'm saying is if your desperate, fund a night of ching and hookers for Stevie and tip off the national press. That way he gets some enjoyment out of it.
