  1. I can guarantee you that lessons have been learnt by all involved today , more people will buy on line in future games , club will be better prepared with tickets readily available ( pre printed) rather than printing individually, system will be updated , a number of issues today were down to clients email setting incorrect to receive attachments ( club rectifying this ) due to everyone needing tickets today the process was slow , when league starts approx 60% of home fans will have season tickets so no need to queue for tickets and operators will be slicker as today was the first time they scanned a live system
  2. Shambles for the people who chose to turn up without buying tickets that have been on sale in club shop and on line for 4 weeks , do these people wait to they go to airport before booking their flight ???? Thought not
  3. None , as it does not cost anymore to the club than the printing of 1600 season ticket books , even though I know you are being sarcastic
  4. It’s the way forward , eventually grounds will be a cash free zone , may as well get onboard sooner rather than later
  5. FW, there should be a zip attachment at bottom of Ayr United mail , if you don’t have it please send me a mail to robertsong008@gmail.com ASAP ( as on holiday and limited WiFi) with the email address you used to order ticket and the reference number and I will get total tickets to resend pdf
  6. QoTS , ICT in play off and 1 game against Dunfermline also last season
  7. Wattoo, yes it is as easy as that ( operators will scan your ticket at turnstile) when purchasing tickets to be added to your season ticket go through total tickets website , you would have got an email with a link to it when season ticket was bought , it’s your email address with the random password ( a host of letters and numbers) which you can change as soon as you sign in
  8. Bartley’s attempt to elbow McCowan and Lambies tackle on the same player could on another day been cards , again Collum chose not to follow the rules
  9. Agree there could have been a lot more in local press as well as social media , an idiots guide on how to purchase tickets both on line and instore would also have been beneficial
  10. There is still the option for all gates to go to cash if any major issue arose , plenty of plans in place to make it as smooth as possible , with technology there is always a worry that new system don’t always perform as planned
  11. Why would you want a cash gate when you can walk to shop about 30 seconds away and purchase a ticket and get used to the system rather than delay the process that’s the way ahead ?
  12. Well advertised on Falkirk and Stranraer wed sites ( also ALL championship teams are making their fans aware that this is the process ) advising fans to buy tickets before turning up , only difference if the don’t is they hand their money over at a kiosk and receive a ticket rather than hand money to a turnstile operator , after first couple of games people will understand to buy tickets on line or in shop (if local to Ayr ,you can buy approx 4/5 games at the one time also ) to speed up their entry to ground
  13. Last night was poor as Livingston did not prepare for the amount of fans Ayr reported to be attending which was approx 400 , I spoke to the guy at Livingston and he reckoned that Ayr would bring no more than 200 and planned for that , as for technology there is always a chance if it going down
  14. It’s not about being robbed , with a great number of people buying on line the money is going directly into bank , not easy having 1person counting money coming from 10 different gates amounting to over £20,000 every home game , then having to put into safes then someone to take money to the bank after the weekend or await collect from G4( at a cost )
  15. If you contact the shop they can arrange for the zip files to be resent to you
  16. Yes you would need mail set up on phone , but for the older guys who are not computer literate or don’t want to change with the times , all they do is go into shop and buy a ticket , takes about 10 seconds to order and pay
  17. I believe we have it under control, but like everything else if 100 people turn up at 2.55 i can’t see many of them seeing kick off , 3 kiosks for home fans to purchase tickets , Away fans tickets from a separate source
  18. If you order it through your tickets account ( the link you got via email after purchasing season ticket ) it automatically goes into your season ticket or as itzdrk says you also get a copy of qr code via mail to your phone which can be scanned from your phone
  19. Most clubs in the country do this now and more are moving toward it , unfortunately technology is taking over the world and we need to move with the times , we can’t always live in the past , wouldn’t say that most people don’t want it , most people I have spoken to purchasing season tickets say it’s a great way forward
  20. Only if they don’t buy through shop or online before then , many people have used their head and done this already
  21. Turnstile operators will scan tickets , exactly what happened last night and happens in most premier league grounds
  22. No gates will be taking money , 3 staff selling tickets , do the easy thing and buy it on your phone if you don’t want to queue , don’t understand why a lot of people wait to last minute to buy things that have been on sale for nearly three weeks in shop and even on line for those who can’t make shop , as for club preparing for big queues it’s the people who don’t buy in advance who need to prepare for big queues , club have done everything they could to make it easy to purchase ticket before arriving
  23. Ha ha , premiership club getting a late result against a lower league club at home and crowing about it absolutely embarrassing
