Don’t get the Moffat not lasting 90 mins each week , he is the fittest player in the team and in all pre season training he was proving that on time and strength testing always up at the top of the timings , does physical training 7 days per week when most other players are only on 4 days

Someone asked how they played , I gave an answer , I am not carried away in any form , I know it was a friendly

Moffat without Shankland last night played rather well and was back to his old habits of scoring twice

He put in £220,000 and for that he owns the car park and rents it back to us free of charge , in my opinion his £220,000 investment is worth much more to him now that houses can potentially built on it , don’t think he done it forAyr United’s benefit , he bought it to line his pockets at a future date

What you going on about ?? All I stated was it would have been a strong partnership , nothing about Ayr United , I for one think DU will win league

Correct, I think a few teams support will give him a bit of stick re all the supposed big teams after him and he ends up at United , I for one will not though full of admiration for what he achieved for us

Nothing special , played a bit deep at times , interacted well with Moffat , surprisingly the 3 worked well together , McCowan played wide left with Moff sitting behind Dools

Geggan was in attendance , pitch not really suitable for Geggan coming back from injury , Muirhead had a previous arrangement , Geggan has been involved in all training sessions with no adverse reaction to injury , calf’s just a little tight

We never had Murdoch, Smith or Doohan at this stage last year !!!!!

Totally embarrassing, if you are an Ayr fan , please start supporting some other team , you are a disgrace and totally lack respect , guy done nothing but good for us and with all due respect has gone to a bigger club , who can provide much more to him and his family than we could ever hope to contribute

Why the rush to sign players ? We have 3 players more than same time last season and managed ok , manager been out country for 9 days , would you expect us to announce signings in the bosses absence , we will have who we need before the season starts , don’t panic

You have just signed a fantastic player in Shankers, plays when high in confidence so give him time to settle to ensure you get the best out of him , also such a nice guy off the pitch

They lost Sanfranco , so glad him and Shankland are not in same team , that could have been some partnership

Do Dundee United have a Michael Moffat ??? Provider of the majority of Shanklands goals , best of luck to him , we only need to worry about him 4 times this season

Decent enough performance tonight , Moffat played very well , linked up well with McCowan , tonight showed they can both play in the same starting 11, Forrest very poor touch and passing poor , taken off at half time , Hare Reid looked very convincing with a couple of really good saves , Roscoe won everything in the air and comfortable with ball at feet , no player had to break sweat , although you could see this was a training match and well worth the entry fee of £0,

Only way Doohan will not be back is if Gordon is injured or asks for a transfer , no signings imminent as McCall not back from his holiday yet , and before the moaners get in saying training has started why is he not here , he had lots of contracts to tie up before he could go on a break and he has a more than capable ma garment team

Think you will notice that all the pre season games are away from home and the decision to play them behind close doors fell within the home teams choice , tomorrows game was going to be open to scouts etc but Queens Park have stipulated only representation allowed is officials of both clubs

No matter how good Shankland was for us , he no longer plays for us , all we can say is thanks for all you done and best of luck where ever you go, it should make no difference if he signed for Stranraer or Man United he is no longer associated to us
