Having been the one that brought up the training facilities in the first place, I do agree with the above. However as I said, in the medium-long term, finding our own facility should be on the agenda.
I am all too aware there isn't a magic money tree and David Smith deserves a huge amount of credit for the infrastructure he is putting in place, but a decent training facility is something which could very well be the difference between a player signing for us and signing for someone else. Players want to feel like they are working in a professional environment and the stadium/training ground is a big part of the player's first impression.
At our walking football sessions at Toryglen we quite often watch Partick Thistle training sessions on the public pitches there , think a good deal of clubs in our league train at public facilities

Random question with all the manager stuff going on etc but have the club said where the main camera would be placed for TV games next season? Surely they would want to show off the new stand so would have the camera in the main stand
It’s in the new stand I believe , if you look at the stand near the Railway end there is a window much higher than all the rest I thought that’s where it was going

Can someone with a better memory than me post Davie White’s record.
They say 6 games in his interview but I can only remember 4/5.
Morton and Raith after Kerr left.
Raith after Duffy left.
And then yesterday.
Can make it 5 if you include the Arbroath game which is probably fair enough even though Bullen was technically in charge.
I can’t place any others.
Did he not take pick the team for the Dundee game where McKenzie scored 2 I think

nothing exclusive , I know as much about any possible target as anyone on here , club are doing right think and keeping it to themselves until something is set in concrete , follow up interviews could be needed

Do we know if Jenkins will be staying at Gretna or is he likely going back as well? He can play centre back and we’re needing more cover in defence
Think he is staying there

Interesting Gretna have just made 5 signings today including wingers so clearly game time was going to be reduced for him and clearly Holding has done well hopefully he kicks on there
Maybe he wants to play closer to home and with a team playing much better football and getting results

Someone putting £20 on any of the options would probably be enough for them to bring it down.
Happened last time with McIntyre someone put on a bet of £30 and they suspended betting and opened up next day with him odds on favourite

And Jamie Hyslop at 16 in the Scotland squad regularly along with playing for the Ayr United U18s , a real prospect , Max Guthrie also a great prospect , coming back from a bad injury and will be an asset to us
Just remembered Jack Allan also who has just been selected for the Scotland U18s squad

Would sum up our recruitment that for a club adopting a player trading model our top 3 players with the highest value are probably 3 teenagers (Watret, Ecrepont, Hislop) with 0 league starts. Also our lack of youth development means their value diminishes the longer they stay.
To be fair , not many clubs in the Championship are playing 16 year old players

I don’t know about waiting 10 years for another Forrest. We have a few good youths in Tomlinson and young Ollie. There have been a few barren years but was that maybe down to hopkin and Duffy not being able to spot a player
eta forgot about watret too

Unless I missed it at the time all both clubs stated when he signed was "on loan until January" rather than a specific date.
Not sure where the 1st January has came from beyond transfermarkt listing that.
Is the date not up until around 16th January that allows teams to recall loan players

Just want to add about the ladies from the shop that they had brought a few selection boxes with them and started handing them out to any weans that were there at full time. A real credit to the club.
Think we should also be congratulating Raith Rovers here , great gesture by them as it was them that provided the selection boxes to be distributed to young fans ,

Arbroath v Ayr battle for the bottom
in Scottish Championship General Chatter

You would think the SFA would want to make a decision before Arbroath leave around 3pm ,
