I agree. Whenever Iv seen him against us Iv always thought he was poor. Can lose the rag as well.
Cmon lads. Give him a break. He's one of ours now.0 -
He's a brilliant left back too. Personally feel we will have to be more of a physical team next season and won't find any left backs more physical than Colin Hamilton. Get a big centre half in next to Ricky imo.
Seemed to me we let in too many goals from corners last season. (True? Anyone got stats?) Ricky is not the biggest. Tend to agree a big centre half plus Hammy at left back could be an improvement.0 -
Dundee or Dundee United in tomorrow's draw please.
Both please.0 -

Feels like last summer. Strong looking squad so far and no keepers yet. I take the same outcome at the end of the season. [emoji106]

The only one you could genuinely say that about is Josh Falkingham to be fair.
All the others were lower league players.
He had 2 hugely successful seasons, a good one where we just missed out on the play offs, and a terrible one. For me the terrible season was because he went to much towards playing football and we just got battered every week and run over the top of.
Slowest strike force in world football with Bayne and Milne, a midfield of Chisholm, Smith, himself, Bobby Linn and Alan Cook and a defence that had Keddie and Travis centre half. Who were decent but for centre halves hardly the biggest of guys.
Plus the squad was filled out with guys like Sibby, Yao, Donaldson, Johnny Lindsay and youngsters.
Just weren't physical enough imo. Two players with a bit of pace in Bobby and Cooky and that was it. Just not a threat, too slow and too small, tried to play too much football and it back fired.

Not that I think he would be a bad appointment for Caley Thistle, but who are the "several top young players" that have been produced since Sheerin went to Aberdeen? I'm genuinely struggling to name 1 tbh.
I thought I'd read that Aberdeen first team are the oldest in the league.0 -
Howdy Abroathians! As you've probably seen, Paul Sheerin is the favourite to take over at Caley Thistle. I see he did quite well at Arbroath initially before it went a bit stale. Would he be a choice for Caley Thistle?
We played some great attacking football but let in loads of goals. Still, he won us our first ever championship. I felt once he stopped playing himself the cracks began to show and we were relegated. Maybe he has learned a lot at Aberdeen. I wouldn't swap Dick Campbell for him.0 -
We get a lot more leaks from the CIA and the FBI than we do from Arbroath FC!

Three games left - Cowdenbeath, Elgin and Stirling. We're undefeated against all three in the league this season. Always look on the bright side [emoji445]

Why is nobody celebrating that we've definitely got a play off place? [emoji322][emoji106][emoji4]

How long is McCord's ban? When's he back?

So we've signed a winger and a central midfielder. Just the areas where we were well covered. No central defender? No goal scoring striker? Very Wenger-like. Still, we're up there and Arsene's not a bad role model.

Can somebody explain to me why Josh Falkingham doesn't have a club yet?

C'mon Dick. We trust you but we need reinforcements and the waiting is scary. [emoji15]
