  1. As many have already said Arcade Fire on Monday were outstanding. Every time they seem to improve and that’s a very high bar already! Standing at the “back” of the stage was quiter but more room to dance about like a clown. Thought them coming through the audience and coming down for a couple of songs was great
  2. Arcade fire on Monday as well as the streets on Friday. Seen Arcade Fire a good few times now and they have never disappointed! Although the new album got mixed reaction I really like it.
  3. I’ve also heard that Muirhead story. Be pretty amazed if that happens to be honest.
  4. Managed to bag myself some standing stones tickets last week. Some of the prices are hilarious though. Worst being £450 plus £50 fee. What maniac is willing to pay that?
  5. Been having a bit of an Oasis addiction again after not listening to them for a while. Favourite being Underneath the Sky. What a track! Also the Noisey interviews with Noel and Liam are excellent. Not the usual stupid questions they tend to get asked. Liam’s story about John McEnroe is priceless [emoji23] . Looking forward to seeing Noel at the hydro. His new album is a breathe of fresh air from him I think
  6. Tam McManus saying on twitter there is to be a meeting tomorrow with money to be put back into the academy to keep it going?
  7. Anyone else getting a bad feeling about the things overall just now? On the face of it the decision is the right one but, are we really saying that the money it costs contributed are going straight into the first team squad? We are saying the club is running at a loss so to me it sounds like we are merely plugging a gap. As for the handling then they have failed spectacularly in every department of it. Going to the press before briefing players/coaches is ridiculous. Gordon Waddell was merely doing his job, something the source of the story wasn't doing.
  8. Looks like Owen Coyle going to ross county so we can rule him out.
  9. After watching Houstons interview it looks to me like he wants out but wants the cash. Puts the ball in the boards court which if there has been a meeting today then surely the outcome is him being booted. What really does sting is the fact that we have seen clubs who are similar in size get relegated or go into admin and now look like squads that challenge. If the whispers are true that we are skint then I honestly have no idea what planet this board has been living on. The majority of fans have accepted the championship in what has been a freak turn of events with rangers, hibs, hearts and dundee united all kicking about at the same time. How after those years of a lot of cash coming into the club can we now be struggling for money? doesn't take a financial genius to figure out that those teams won't be about forever. Surely we have some cash kicking about from that or is that being too naive?
  10. Got to agree with what is being said about the left hand side pairing of Sibbs and Leahy. They always seemed to find each other and overlaps were regular. Something that we didn't have on Saturday anyway. Luca done his primary job though on the right and that was to defend. We seem to be totally unbalanced with players running into each other at times on Saturday. It is early doors and we have a few injuries but not looking forward to this Saturday at all. On to cheerier stuff - When does the south stand bar open up?
  11. Didn't make it last night however reading this is thoroughly depressing and also worrying at times. We seem to have learned zero from last season and are unable to get going early in a season again. What has happened to McKee? A centre mid who actually looked like he could break through an opposition defence at times, sitting on the bench? Shepherd defied belief being kept on last season and is still being given chances - None of which I have seen taken anyway. If Gallagher is struggling at this level then we are going to have a hell of a problem soon when his head goes down and there is no one to give him a rest. He is still young and undoubtedly is going to take time to grow into the league but we might end up ruining him before he gets the chance. The whole Sibbald stand off for me needs to be resolved ASAP and anyone who thinks we are somehow better off without him needs to have their head looked at. No way should he start but he has the potential to beat a man and also find a pass at key times and were going to have a few of them coming up the next few weeks I think!
  12. That hot tub better be monitored for the winner trying to end themselves before the 90 mins is up
  13. Not going into full blown meltdown but I do think Saturday might be what we see a lot of this season. We were far from awful and I would say some positives. Cummings was making life difficult for us by playing right on the last man which we couldn't find a way of stopping. Might be me but I cant seem to remember him being given those balls over the top as frequently last season? Either way it worked and we couldn't stop it. Think its time to drop Baird and try something different up top as I don't think he's been effective since about Christmas last year. Midfield wise we are no doubt going to be able to break play up frequently but find ourselves running out of ideas I think. As said previously this needs to be time for Sibbs to step up, finding space and quick balls to get us round defences. Rankin and Taiwo aren't going to give you much invention anyway. Anyway highlight for me has to be the guy hitting the crossbar at half time. Gave the old boy no chance before he floated it onto the bar. Man of the match.
  14. Just watched a bit of yesterday's game as couldn't make it. Looks like we are in for a season of penalties every 5 minutes! Why do we still Baird up top on his own? I can't think of once that we have played well using him up there. He was rotten towards the end of last season and looks like the same now. We're in the odd position now of having a lot of players but weaker looking than last season. We need some spark in the middle and I think this needs to be the season when Sibbs properly goes for it and takes control of games when we're struggling.
  15. Surprised to see Ohara going on loan but could be what he needs. Definitely got potential and I think could do damage at East Fife.
  16. Got to agree that Vaulks leaving would be a bit of a sore one. Could see from early on when he was playing at centre half that he had something about him. His passing etc. is not what you expected from a centre half at our level. Hard to stand in his way and all the best to him if hes going. Mcgrandles certainly would be my preferred option before rankin anyway. I think we will give the title a go this year but got my fears that Lennon will build a more organised team Hibs team this year. Going to be a cracking season though with big games every couple of weeks.
  17. They didn't receive a single penny of my money for your information as other posters have mentioned you can easily find it by sticking a search in google.
  18. That Rangers TV stream had me fuming at points. You would think we were up against barca the way they were comparing us. Sore one to take but looks like our season is panning out how many expected. Hopefully Hibs get a bit distracted with the cups and start dropping points or I can see us having a few meaningless games towards the end of the season
  19. Asked a couple of livi fans in the work and both laughed when I suggested we were in for him. sounds pretty lazy. If so then I don't see how he would fit in to the team as it is.
  20. BBC now covering the story saying they will approach with an aim to sign on pre contract. I am like a few others on here though. He has had some moments of brilliance but I think we could get by without him. Just hasn't seemed to kick on from when he broke through.
  21. From what I have saw of Smith and Cooper I would stick with Cooper. Smith has pace but that's about it. The most one dimensional player I think we have along with Shephard. At least Cooper cuts inside now and again and can give you something a bit different. Hearing rumours that Mcgrandles will be in before the Hibs game. That would be a great addition if true.
