Only positives from that game were a clean sheet & Stuart Morrison. He’s solid at the back & reads the game very well, he looks to be a very good signing. other than that I can’t think of anything good to say.

Just absolutely baffles me how Thomson isn’t starting in this team. He’s far better than Watson & Ross. Maybe it’s cause we’ve got literally nothing else on the bench to change the game. Watson is absolutely hopeless, we seen enough of him last season to show he wasn’t capable, yet gets given a contract. Baffling. Robson in the middle of the park does absolutely nothing every single week, the game just passes him by. He’d been as well standing beside me in the ground. No striker option when Skelly is unavailable is absolutely ludicrous, we all knew we needed at least two strikers available. Surely our first loan signing must be a striker.

Thommo on the bench again Deary me.

Still feel we will be too strong for Elgin today. I’d take a scrappy 1-0 win. Any sort of win will do. hopefully Patterson is up top, that way we can play Thomson & Ross. Think that’s the best front three option we have with Skelly out injured. Patterson done well in his trial games & he knows where the goal is, if he has runners around him I think he will strive.

Genuinely couldn’t care less about that challenge cup. Just another game I’m praying folk aren’t injured in to hamper our league title challenge.

Duncan Williams was the referee I’m sure. He did our league cup game against Arbroath this season, and some of his decision making in that was a bit shoddy as well.

I’m no taking offence at all. just think it’s weird to say not much to worry about for a title race. The league is the most open it’s been for years in my opinion. Plus it’s the first game of the season, we canna base the whole season on a scoreless draw.

We can literally say that about you? yous passed the ball about well but lacked the cutting edge as well. Both teams were defensively sound which lead to few chances.

Has Shane Sutherland got a new club yet? I know he was out last season with an ACL injury & it ended pretty rubbish with Inverness. If we got him fit he’d do a great job in league two. Still think he could do a job higher up the leagues though.

Aye I added Moore potentially over Brindley. Bit of a toss up, think I prefer Moore in the middle but don’t think he’s better than the other two in there.

I think realistically this our best 11 on paper. Could argue Whyte to come in at Centre half but I’m not sure he will ease his way into the team that easily. (Moore LWB potentially instead of Brindley) Definitely lacking in depth.

Shoogly peg for Petrie?

Taking a point away from Stenny isn’t the worst result so overall quite content with that. Signing a Striker & a winger is an absolute must though. Stuart Morrison looks to be a real gem for this level. Mark Whatley very good today. Still not overly convinced with Seb Ross or Finn Robson. Kieran Inglis I thought was quite poor today, played a bit better when he moved back into the middle of the park.

Aye he’s nowhere near good enough. He’s so lightweight, he’s not that quick & his composure is horrendous. Signed just to bring the numbers up I reckon.

That Darren Watson chance near the end though Deary me. No having it that it was a good save, he literally had 3 options & he chose to hit it right at Jamieson!

As already mentioned a draw probably a fair result. Thought we were poor in the first half, but should of been 1-0 up with Seb Ross squandering a great chance. We were second to absolutely everything. Second half we came onto a game a bit more with the introduction of Thommo, he has start every week for me. Paterson impressed in the trial games but he’s been a bit anonymous recently for me, not doing anywhere near enough to deserve a start. Stuart Morrison man of the match for me, he was immense.

That miss from Ross is gonna cost us here. Stenny are loving the ball over the top of Moore like.

Can’t see Moore going RWB, have a feeling Allan will go RWB & Munro will slot into Centre half.

Don’t think we even had a shot on target at bonnyrigg in the first game of the season, so anything more than that would be a welcomed
