  1. Look am not saying the pyrimid is perfect.becuase its not!! But its the model both the sfa and the sfl have agreed.mr johnstone has said for the last 5 years his members are not interested.but to be fair the junior F.a.have not come up with anything else please dont be convinced that eos or sos grounds are public parks with ropes and pins thats not the case.the liecence looks at both player comfort and spectator well being. the majority have shelter hot / cold food outlets first aid posts and first aiders at games yes the product might not be as good.but given the clubs from the juniors who have saw the light and wish to try something!!! anything!!! different there is a chance in the future these leagues will be the place to be.and the really big clubs in the juniors set up might have to start at the bottom, that would be a travistay but it would be their own doing.
  2. Yes there could be late applications.eos stated if this was to happen it would be put to their members at the a.g.m.next month.
  3. There are some clubs, from the west asking if the east of scotland would consider managing a league using their rules which are the same as the lowland league and s.o.s.these clubs am lead to belive have most infastructure in place and could start the liceincing prosses straight away. Think they would need 12 clubs to start leading to a 16 team setup.think its being discussed at their board meeting this week.
  4. the reason the e.o.s are runnig two compatable leagues is to stay both leagues at level 6 until it reaches its desired total of 32 clubs. 16 per league.think there may be late applicants at their a.g.m this month.
  5. Given that some teams in the west are asking for a senior west league to start.and when it does were will that leave your aspirations of the juniors slotting in at tear 6.as i stated before its time for change, its not what your clubs did in the past.its what they do for their future that counts now imo.
  6. the pyrimid below spfl needed to be sorted first as a way of putting presure on them to change.its been confirmed the lowland are seeking to agree relegating two teams from next season.again if the eos or sos go to a structure of 32 teams at level 6 dont think there will be another setup allowed to compete at that level would be level 7.but these leagues sit on the pyrimid board along with lowland and highland leagues.think there might be a case of clubs being big fish in a ever smaller bowl.if when the w.o.s league starts.which i think will be sooner rather than later.
  7. Reading these post's, about waiting for bigger clubs to join the eos or sos.or pyrimid structure.is the heart of the problem the jfa.waited now clubs have left to try to move their team on.its not just the pyrimid that attracted them. shorter season.fixture list.and other denifits.mostly a board that listens to all its members.think the earlier poster is correct once the eos league goes to 32 teams its hard to see any more clubs being excepted.
  8. Visited most lowland league grounds this season.entry price £6.00 pie £1.00 tea coffee £1.00 most grounds you can move freely around your not restricted to your seat in the stand, you can stand at the side of the pitch as the playing area is railed off. EoS grounds are the same
  9. Why would the sosfl.merge they are already there for any team in the south with criteria to join, the teams dont need to be junior.theres already talks with some clubs in the west about a league being started there, again for any club not just junior clubs who meet criteria. the storey in the sun only highlights whats been the junior f.a.stance for the last 5 years.belittling clubs in the senior setup has always been a tool for devision.but these clubs are on the liecencing ladder some are nearly over the line. Its not overly hard to achieve tick all the boxes and your there. does it matter how good your club is on the park at this time as the senior leagues will get better with the clubs coming in.its the future that counts, thats the main reason these clubs have left the juniors.its going forward from now.
