  1. The Tayport amateurs are self founded and are clearly trying to get shared facilities. There are no other facilities in the Town. As of now I am not aware of them having any players. The choice of Fife amateur over Midlands amateur is likely as the new manager has been involved in that league already. Trials to be held on the common in July and not on the caniepart shows the very small link between the organisations
As pointed out they previously had teams in both amateur areas and even at the same time in the 80s..
A complete red herring.Simply a welcome return to some more grass roots football in the town.

Not sure how they can confirm
They are in the fife Ammies league as they weren’t in it or was an application heard as of Tuesday this week.
  2. Kai Kennedy is a revelation, great wee player who can look to scaling the heights, hopefully he'll get picked up by a decent Premiership team in England and not be wasted at one half of the ugly sisters[emoji849]

You mean like the club that’s nurtured and trained him to be the player he is the now [emoji849].If he’s good enough he will play for us fully expect him to be loaned to a premiership team next year to aid to his development unless he impresses pre season.
  3. Banging on for an hour about how incredible Gerrard has been.
Sevco centric but on top of that hes managed to win nothing to date having spent a fortune in Scottish football terms .
Very recently they even bottled a big cup game against St Mirren.
Fair enough they will win the league this season but this sycophantic praise of a manager who is the first Sevco manager to go 9 Scottish trophies in a row without winning 1.

Your better seeking help lol crackpot
  4. Obviously a different level but the Fife ammies league have said they would be able to complete their league campaign with a April restart and June finish playing two games a week which gives 26 game slots . The Season usually needs to be done before Agm second week in June but an extension to season will be allowed. Maybe contracts etc stop this at this level but surely clubs would rather finish season this way than ppg if viable.

  5. I have to credit you with being a reasonable-minded Sellick fan.  This is a first on P&B.
BUT the hilarity (for me) isn't down to this season's collapse - amusing though it is.  Teams have bad seasons - I've been FollowFollowing since the mid 60s so I know - and your mob is having one of them.
The hilarity is down to the entire preamble to this season and that started with the "Brendan is here for 10IAR" blethers about three years ago.
So we're not (entirely) laughing at a season's collapse - amusing though it is.  We're laughing at years of hubris, hopes and dreams tossed away like a spent pouch of snus on a snowy pitch in Livingston.

This is only the beginning for that rancid club.
  6. It's not inconsistency though, it's a rule change. That's only to be expected as the conditions change. Hence the increase in levels as numbers go up.

Sorry I worded my reply wrongly It’s not actually a rule change though there has been no clarification of it and why track and trace are saying different things to different teams.
  7. Wow, it does seem a bit over the top when there is no use of indoor facilities, there will be no player within 1metre of another for 15 mins let alone a whole team.

Exactly when it first started up with contact training etc we had a positive test. The player had trained twice that week due to being outside nobody other than the two who travelled to Training with the positive player had to isolate. Now in the Fife league we are seeing track and trace contact and isolate anyone in the red zone (players and ref )meaning boys are getting threatened with their jobs if continue to play

Football . It’s the inconsistency that’s frustrating for everyone as the rules have changed once the season started.

  8. So there has been an under 16’s game cancelled this weekend and all the boys have had to isolate because a positive test came back from a team they played the previous weekend, is this the same set of protocols for WOSL teams?

It’s the same in the ammies league. There is over 60 players having to isolate from the Fife leagues just now. This wasn’t the original protocol though when the leagues were started. My local team had a positive test early on and only the two who travelled with him had to isolate.
  9. Two wrongs don’t make a right FFS I gave you more credit than that. It’s two different ‘wrongs’ Any right minded person would scrap the game suspensions after seven months of not being able to complete a ban for probably minor offences but the guy whose head butted or done worse could be getting off Scot free We are going to have a problem at all levels trying to get guys back playing and we should be encouraging people to play not stopping them for in light of what we’ve been through, are trivial offences.

This was my take on it. It serves no purpose keeping boys banned. What about the leagues that null and voided or cancelled should they bans still stand as officially the season didn’t happen.
  10. Anyone know what the script is with players who had game bans to serve before the seasons were all finished due to pandemic. Would like to think the Safa will show a bit of sense and wipe the slate clean. Not fair the time based suspensions have won a watch and hardly missed any football but someone with a one game or two game ban has to sit the start of the season out.

  11. https://www.irishfa.com/news/2020/june/irish-fa-issue-updated-covid-19-guidelines
This looks interesting. Northern Ireland FA is ahead of others about Covid-19 recovery plans. Their latest plan:
Saturday 06 Jun 2020 Irish FA: Covid-19 recovery plan update

The Irish FA has issued an updated document looking ahead to measures to help an incremental return of grassroots football to Northern Ireland.

The measures will be introduced from Monday 8 June.

Some subjects that the document will include are as follows:

    • Playing football individually.
    • Playing football with your family or people living in your household.
    • Football training or fitness activities in groups of no more than six keeping two metres apart at all times.
    • Training for two or more groups of six (including coach).

The document will also cover suggested safety instructions and hygiene protocols. You can download the full Covid-19 recovery plan below (i.e. go to their web site).

That’s just a copy of the English Fa. They have been at it from June 1st
  12. I have to agree here same old players and sponsors

That’s what managers do though take the boys they can trust and know they are committed. I’m surprised nobody has went for the boy yull from

    Tollcross yet ?

  13. Heres a question.

If it was announced today that grassroots football could start as of the 28th may ( I know it womt and 100% shouldn't) bit say it was. Would u be happy to jump straight in to it at amatuer level. If so, would u allow your kids to go and play with their own team at say 14 years old

    Where was this announcement??
