The only thing that is jealous is your arse with the amount of shit that comes out your mouth!
With comments (not the first) like this maybe it would be better shutting this thread down and letting these wee nomarks get their kicks elsewhere. The thread has proved the point that the Darvel Juniors are a mote in the eye for these oxygen thieves and that without this opportunity to play billy big baws they would have nothing
I get the idea that giving in to these keyboard gangsters is galling but f**k them let them pollute some other thread.

It’s nothing to do with my club. ( Glenafton) but nights like this is usually centre on lads nights, I’ve attended many of these speaker nights and have yet to see a female in attendance ( other than the bar staff and waitresses
It’s “ usually “ a three course dinner followed by the speakers. It’s always a fun nightMy apologies.

At no point did I say ‘ cursing like a navvy’ made him brilliant. I said he’s a good speaker. The cursing is more a heads up to what to expect from him
Garrellburn, if you think cursing is a very cheap way to get a laugh I’m guessing a lads night out isn’t for you. Unfortunately it is what it is when you have a room full of testosterone.
So no women allowed? 19th century attitude using a 21st century platform to promote it. .
You have a narrow enough customer base as it is. Surely you should be putting on entertainment that appeals to both sex’s. That way you could double your numbers.

Fair point I thought we were piss poor against Darvel - hence we could only scrape a 1-0 win
We are improving week on week and I doubt you will finish above us - happy to wager on it ?
- by the way you really are a smarmy tit at times
I will have a wee tenner with you, winnings to the “Invisibles”.

I don’t know if it worked or not .................
It must have, according to glensmad, he thought it was the worst penalty decision he has “ever seen”

It speaks volumes about how well we've done so far this season that we're heading back up the road disappointed not to have six wins out of six.
Yes, we were undone by one of the worst refereeing decisions I've ever seen, but in truth if we had taken just one more of the many chances we created then it wouldn't have been a factor.
Still, 16 points out of 18, still unbeaten and still top of the league. Mustn't grumble.Surely not the worst you’ve ever seen.
It was soft but it was a penalty. Your boy was a bit naive and gave the referee a decision to make.

Rutherglen are a cracking team , should have been out of sight at HT but Darvel got what they deserved in the end for a battling performance.

I’d imagine it could be our changing facilities at the moment as we await the council sorting iy
I would agree with you on that. Your ground is a similar set up to Rossvale as far as watching the game, however, their changing rooms are of a better quality And they put on Scottish Cup matches last year.

The scum is a rag of a paper. Fraser Wilson at the daily record is very good
Fraser is a great guy , who was a cracking keeper at Johnstone Burgh.

9-0!
ask yourself this - if you were in charge would you wait until you’ve set all kinds of new results records for the club or would you do the right thing and admit to yourself that despite doing your best it’s still well short of what supporters and committee deserve and not cause the club any further embarrassment.
The committee have it in their power to deal with the issue and if they choose to do nothing they must take responsibility for that.

Seems to be a recurring theme, Darvel goalie motm. Hopefully the boys on the same mental wages as the rest of the shite, at least he deserves itYou don’t know half the boys you are talking about yet you want to call them shite. Why?

Cumbernauld were well deserving of their win despite a decent second half by Darvel.
The Darvel keeper had at least 4 excellent saves and but for him the game would have been out of sight at HT.
Darvel almost snatched a point late on but the keeper made a great save. .
The ground was looking great today and the pie shop and bar were excellent. Cumbernauld is well worth a visit for those who haven’t been before.

I think the main reason for the squad leaving was due to Sinky leaving.
They were obviously loyal to Sinky and didn’t want to stay at the club without him, which is there choice.
Larkhall aren’t the first club where squads have had to be rebuilt but how the club recover and deal with this is the most important thing.
An earlier post mentioned the club folding/ending, that’s just crazy talk. The club may well go down the leagues but there will still be a clubHope your right.

Like re-naming Gasworks the Jimmy McStay Stadium? There is plenty of experience in the Larkhall committee
I don’t doubt that and you can just throw that away but you probably need some new blood.

I would imagine that the Candy are the last people you would want to learn from and I was just trying to provide some solutions for the predicament you find yourselves in but I would hope you are open to any ideas. You are too important a club to go under and I hope you guys find a way past your troubles.

It's one thing bemoaning the fate of the club and saying it's embarrassing, but what are the options? There's no money, the committee have worked wonders raising funds from local businesses in previous seasons but the money raised has gone on players. The other way ie the no money option is to offer players a platform to play in the juniors and get them from the amateurs but even that is hard because the good ones get picked up by better junior teams or get paid as amateurs.
So what would you actually do about sorting out the club?
I think the club that is their arch nemesis is a good example for Larkhall. I’m sure others on the forum may have more insight but looking at it from outside St Rochs have flourished since they have been more involved in the local community. This has attracted more sponsorship and helped pump money into the club. They have also got a younger demographic in their committe than most junior clubs and their presence on social media has attracted a younger element to their matches. There is no one solution and it will take lots of small changes if Larkhall are to move forward again. I hope they do as to many teams have went by the wayside over the years leaving the grade poorer for their demise.

The Vic's requested the Saturday off to play the annual Marymass derby.
Has a league game been cancelled because of a friendly?

Darvel only got the draw because Whitletts let them off the hook! Darvel celebrated the draw as if they had won the champions league... a full strength Whitletts team will destroy the galacticos.
Nothing beats a wee last minute goal to get a result. Every match I’ve ever watched when that happens the lads go mental. Don’t tell me you haven’t witnessed that before?
Get the blinkers off and give the lads a wee bit of credit for digging deep

Viewparker, when did the Roch last score 9 goals?
You would need to ask Graffit or Kinky that one. I lived about 600 yards from the ground in the 60s and 70s but my memory can’t remember that far back. My worse memory was a 6-1 beating by Petershill in the 70s.

After all that money you spent on their end.
Btw. I didn’t say this at the time but you guys have worked hard on the ground.
Best it’s looked since the the social club was burnt down in the 80s.
