Ive not long passed it on the train and that'd be my prognosis too, no way does ot look as though there been anything too major done to the drainage. I see a future of plastic with multiple puddles and possible postponement. Time will tell but I'm well short on optimism on this one.
Good to see we have an expert on installing real grass and plastic pitches within our following.
More refreshing than the usual Close Season financial and liquidation experts that are normally come out to play.

Murray re-signing is great news.
My PotY after Davo last season.
Thought he was generally average last season.

FFP saying that Euan Murray has signed a new deal and expected to be announced soon, great news if true. Other players that have been offered new deals have better financial offers on table from other clubs so its a wait and see with them.
We are also looking at a goalie whos dad has Raith connections. Only one I can link of is Robbie Thomson who would be a good signing.
Delighted with Robbie Thomson if true, FFP to dig out photo of him as a newly born before the cup final, when/if he signs.

A stadium within close proximity of the retail park would be ideal.
Easy to get to for travelling fans with a choice of pubs or eateries close by.
I'd hope that a new stadium would have home and away bars that sold food too.
Pie in the sky just now and for the foreseeable future unfortunately.
Problem is that such a location will have a high rental/purchase cost.

Any key points?
Sim looks as if he’s going to fall asleep a few times

I think losing Easton is short sighted I appreciate he might have chosen to go been approached but he' done some really good work behind the scenes and more than done what's been asked of him.
Canae stand in his way, team he supported as a boy, great opportunity etc etc

Delighted with the clear out.
a few players gone that shouldn’t have been here last year IMHO

I'm a big fan of the fact you've been to that sort of game!
I just don't like Astro on a personal level. It's great at first, but after a year or so when it starts to get flat it becomes a nightmare to play on injuries wise. When you've got pros who can't play on it (Steven Maclean and Harry Davis for example) then that's sending warning signs out to me that it's not good for people's joints.
Amazed someone who has played football for 20+ years can blame a surface that they played on for less that a quarter of that time, for any joint issues.
loads of ex players out there with new knees and hips that never went near a ‘plastic’ pitch

The polls are now open for the election of the next Supporter-Director of RRFC.
Full details at http://www.raithrovers.net/35376/raith-rovers-fc-supporter-director-election.htm
Eligible voters* will be receiving an email over the next 24 hours with details of how to vote online.
Those that have not submitted a working email address will receive a postal ballot in the next 3 - 5 working days.
The polls remain open for 2 and a half weeks, closing at 10pm on Friday 1st June.
* To vote in the RRFC Supporter-Director election voters must be current adult members of any of the Raith Forum groups (Jim McMillan Club, 200 Club, Supporters Club, Rovers Down South and Raith Supporters Trust) OR an adult Raith Rovers FC season ticket holder
Can we have a Martin Lewis candidate next time ?
one who speaks the truth ?
”I supported the Rovers on and off for a while, I don’t know anything about being a director but I work hard in my job, and kicked a baw once”
”I love wearing a suit, and am free most weekends, my big passions are comfy seats and eating pies cut in half, at quarter to 4 on a Saturday”
”so please vote for me”

I would send McGuffie on loan until January to a league one side - he has never really had a regular run.
I’d happily take him, highly talented player.

I'm looking forward to when the fans of the massive institution that is Raith Rovers realise that they remain as shite as us, Stenhousemuir and Montrose!
For info, Stenhousemuir have beaten us in the last 30 years.

What about that boy Crane for left back, Hibs have released him

Not read the last few pages so the point may already be made but there is a very consistent theme coming from the players released. Lots of players taking thinly veiled shots.
Unfair treatment, limited opportunities etc. Could be frustration at being released but it certainly doesn’t sound like it was a very happy camp. What do you expect them to say, yeah I was pish and never took my chances ?
Remember these guys need to convince the next club they are a worthwhile signing.
Court is 22 been with us for 4 years, I don’t see how long you can throw wages at a player and wait for a response.

He's away
Loved his attitude, and he never got a run of games.
However he’s the same age as Shankland, so how long do you give a player to make a break through ?

Do we have any Gary Locke signings left ?

With the exception of valente, Stevenson and McKay, the rest of the U20s should be released also. They are not good enough for league 1 and IMO will not improve enough for the future.
John, Tony or Ernie ?

If we're after a left back then we should try for Callum Crane who is out of contract from Hibs.
This is the route we should taking, a hand full of talented young players punted from the top league, would be preferable over journeymen IMHO
