Seems to have been the way of things with our entire youth set-up for the past 15 years at least. I might be missing someone, but in all honesty I think the last genuinely top league capable player Dundee produced was in the era of Kevin McDonald, Paul Dixon, and Scott Robertson.

Kerr has never been up to it at the top level, I don't think Anderson or Cameron will make it either. Mulligan perhaps, but he has to grow a lot as a footballer and really nail down a full-time position. Wighton ultimately fell far short of what he promised at 16, and Griffiths wasn't a Dundee youth.

Pretty poor stuff. It does seem to have picked up a wee bit in the past few years, so perhaps just a matter of time.

Edit - Knew I'd forget someone, and I suppose Craig Forsyth was a few years after McDonald and Co, and although he didn't play for us in the top flight I don't think there's any doubt he would have been more than capable.

With regards to Anderson being n my head he’s still this young raw footballer, he’s 22!!! In life I know that’s still a baby really but in terms of football years fairly middling, I’d still keep my eyes on him though there talent that of that I’m sure, it’s only really been the last few years that Mark Ohara has started to kick on so he may well be the same

eta- just realised all of our young talent is 20 plus, MAD!! It was just yesterday a squeeky voiced Roberson won YPOTY

EXCLUSIVE: Burnley are in talks about a talent-share agreement with Scottish side Dundee... as owners ALK Capital look to land a feeder club to boost Vincent Kompany's side | Daily Mail Online

Assume Charlie Adam, as current Burnley Loan Manager will be busy on the M6 driving them up here.

At his own admission he virtually had to drive our existing loanee Marcel Lewis himself to convince him to come here. Jeezo, a young man who has achieved the square root of sod all in senior football, allegedly raising his eyebrows at a move to Dens Park.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some of these guys are talented, very wealthy young players. However I'd far sooner personally have more Luke McCowan's or Charlie Reilly's who are naturally talented, and more importantly hungry to make their mark in Scottish football, at Dens Park.

If "Vincent Kompany's Burnley", (as the pundits prefer to call them) have an Owen Beck up their sleeve, rest assured he'd be playing in The Premiership down there for them.

If gold nuggets like Owen Beck become available in England, grab 'em, however let the likes of Burnley FC develop their own players and we'll do the same.

If Tim Keyes is wishing to sell a partial share in our club to ALK Capital (who are Burnleys owners), please enlighten us with your thoughts my man or alternatively discredit this press release.

    Merely my opinion.

That right enough, if so get him to France he should be jumping at a chance to put himself in VK’s eyes ahead of potentially hundreds of others on Burnley’s academy in his position

He can't be recalled until at least January.

I think Liverpool would rather dip into the transfer market than have Beck as their regular LB if Robertson is out longer than that.

I think the absolute worst case scenario would be them recalling him in January to sit him on the bench for a couple of weeks before sending him back to us again nearer the deadline.

A bigger worry than Robertson being injured is that they recall him due to a bigger club being interested in giving him first team football IMO.

I can definitely see him in a higher tier than us, definitely a future wales international if he isn’t already

should he go I see that Lewis strapp still doesn’t have a club, maybe not an upgrade but fit enough for a lower end premiership team

Spain win - Scotland qualify today, need to better Spains results to finish 1st

Norway win - Scotland could finish anywhere between 1st-3rd

Draw - Scotland qualify today, just need 4pts to guarantee to top the group

So as it stands , through with a big push against Georgia and Cyprus to land top(hopefully)

Good effort. I'm genuinely impressed. You won't shit for a week.

Funny you should say that my uncle who’s in a wheelchair said the same and passed me some dulcolax, he said in case of emergency break glass and left it at that
