  1. Is Stevie Aitken trying to film his own version of Dad’s Army? All good players, but all knocking on a bit.

Im just waiting on them announcing the resigning of robbie winters to bring the average age of the squad back down.[emoji16]
  2. Far from me to defend them considering recent events but at least they come on here and dont hide behind a name.
Remind me your team again please. :ass

You are right newky. You cant defend ek or any of the other clubs the voted the colts in. As i have always said from the start, it was a shocking decision. Fans never got a say in it though. The mass knickerwetting is good to see though. Brightens up the thread.[emoji16]
Hope you and the welfare are doing well mate.
  3. lol, tells me to grow up whilst calling me a "monkey".
Your club and others basically started a campaign to end lower league football competition. Not only that, but have dressed it up as some sort Herculean salvaging act of Scottish football, whilst patting each other on the back, all for the sake of £3K. If your club wants to make these sort of decisions then they need to deal with the consequences. I genuinely won't ever do anything that gives your club a penny, I'm sure your wealthy backer won't give a f**k right now but there will come a day when poor old EK will have the begging buckets out, and the rest of Scottish football will show you the direction in which you can f**k off.

  4. The fact you can't differentiate between renting out a business premises and selling your league competition shows that you shouldn't really be involved in the debate. By that logic, all youth teams would need to build their own stadiums, which is utterly moronic. Nobody is against youth football, we're against senior football being used as an exhibition for youth players. Clubs deserve all stick they get, and if it costs them money in the long run that puts them out business then ha fucking ha.

Thankfully you dont get to pick and choose who is involved in the debates moon monkey. Its an open forum. We are all entitled to an opininion weather you agree with it or not.
I dont agree with half the shite you put on here but i skim by it and leave you to it.
A grown man red dotting is up there with grown men wishing football clubs will die, or starting petitions to starve clubs of money.
    Fucking grow up.
  5. If their reason to exist is so they can act as a training aid for kids to practice against why should people care if these clubs live or die.

If the reason to exist is to be a training aid for kids to practice against and they are negatively impacting proper football clubs then why would people want these clubs around?

  6. I don't really disagree with anything you're saying. But there's been multiple attempts from various posters to draw parallels between voting the OF cots in to the league and say, taking a plyer on loan from the OF, renting your ground to their development squads and even just playing them in cup ties. Just pointing out that those are not valid comparisons at all.

We shall agree to agree then.
  7. It's not "aiding the development of the old firm" (in return for being fairly compensated) that people are against though, is it? It's selling out the integrity of the lower leagues / pyramid for the sole benefit of the old firm people have a problem with.

The pyramid is a joke. Hopefully this shambles will highlight it further and changes can be made as in its current form its not working.
And as i’ve said repeatedly, i was wholeheartedly against the league selling out to the colts.
My point was folk wishing clubs to go to the wall over it when they have all had a little sook at the old firm teet and some point or other, and would so again im sure for self gain. As i said football and its fans are very fickle.
I just want to get back to going to see some football on a saturday afternoon.
Theres alot of clubs i dont like. I would never wish any of them to go to the wall though through them making a stupid decision like this.
    That was my point.
  8. Accommodating them to play in their own appropriate youth or reserve divisions is different from inviting them to join a part of the pyramid structure.

Yeah, it is. But its still aiding the development of the old firm. And taking a measly coin in the process.
And as i said. Im stongly against the colts being allowed into our league.
Its a pathetic decision that they have been voted in.
But the wishing of clubs to die over it is brutal patter. Not suprising though.
  9. Where are these abominations going to play?
Rangers seem to have a ground of sorts at the training centre. Will Celtic do simlar?

Do celtic development squad not play at cappielow? Which is amusing considering you have morton fans on wishing that clubs die for aiding the development of old firm youths, yet there own club have been happy to take old firm cash for years doing the same thing.
And for what its worth i’ve been against the colts idea right from the start. Most of the fans of the lowland teams on here have same view as me on it but our clubs never gave us a chance to vote on it.
The wishing of clubs to die over this is pathetic though. Not a good look.
But then again, fickle footballs fans eh?
  10. Will be between them and Bonnyrigg imo. I am still not totally convinced by Aitken as a manager and there are still a few weeks of squad-building to go, but the signings have been pretty impressive so far.

I agree with you alan on the manager front.
