For me this is the best team we've had since Jimmy Nics in the 90s.
The team also seem to be responding to the young teams support and lapping it up.
Its the best atmosphere we've had consistently since then as well. Hope we keep it up [emoji106]1 -
To Bolton.£900k Steve McAnespie.0 -
£900k Steve McAnespie. What’s our club record transfer fee received for a player? Out of curiosity?

I've not seen Lewis Mansell play, but he might be more of a hold up player than a finisher, personally I think thats something we've been missing.
John Baird is pretty much being tasked to hold up play and be a finisher, not easy at any stage of your career let alone his, this signing if true might benefit Bairdy the most.0 -
A wee bit harsh, he burst a gut and stretched out to make contact with the ball at the back post, hardly Iwelumo levels of open goals.Only 3 goals since September though. He also missed an open goal against Celtic last week.
Every club he's been to recently has seen a manager sacked and he seems to have been a disruptive influence at each club.
I think it would be suicide by McGlynn to sign him.0 -
Heard Joel Coustrain on trail at East Fife, good luck to him.

I thought Ross Mathews was caught on his heels for the 3rd.Just watched the highlights and all 3 goals came from errors in defence. Davo should never be giving away a handball, McKay then clearly at fault for the 2nd and hesitation on the left lead to the 3rd. I'm in favour of a back 3 with wingbacks but Anderson makes a huge difference in a 3. If he is out for the next 2-3 months then we need to look at other options.0 -
Regan Hendry must be worth £3m at that exchange rate.I know this is tired ground and my thoughts are known on him, but Jordan Thompson has just signed for Stoke for what is reported as being £750,000.
I don’t know what to say.0 -
How good is Regan at running down the clock? and winding folk up in the process. [emoji23][emoji870]

Like being 0-2 up and drawing 2-2 kind of minter? Our defensive record is significanly better than yours and I chastise Mark Durnan before during and after every match. Because he is fucking murder.
You failed to put away a ten who were down to ten after 13 minutes. Brutal stuff and all the "Regam Henry strolled it" in the world doesnt change the fact that 1 point from that game is a fucking minter.0 -
Serious question, do you think that there is link between dropping the youth set up with where you find yourselves now?
From the outside I always thought Falkirk had a great football model of bringing your own players through and selling them on, couldn't believe that plan was dropped.
I obviously don't know the ins and outs of it all, but I just remember thinking it was the wrong move at the time.
Sorry if this has been brought up before!1 -

I remember when we were both going for the old 1st division back in the 90s, this fixture would bring in over 5k easy. Good games as well.

The club should bring out a retro version of the Mercat Spall kit, that was my first Rovers top.

I'm sure Micky went to Hearts for over £300k.We've a history as long as the Forth Bridge of letting good players go on the cheap - Micky Cameron, the trio to Millwall, , the other trio to Livingston which included Big Marv, Nacho Novo to Dundee - nearly all were sold on later for big money. I'm sure there are others.0 -
Cos we're still pishing ourselves laughing pumping them out the cup last season. Why are Raith known as the Wee Team?0 -
Funnily enough there is, I can't remember who it was but they built a massive pillar in the middle of the changing room so the opposition couldn't see or hear each other.
Yes. In fact is there anything we could do to make the players dislike playing here even more?0 -
I've just read an article where John McGinn said he hated playing at Starks Park.
I remember years ago Paul Gascoigne saying he loved playing in Kdy and loved the atmosphere, is Starks Park like marmite to players?
Is Gazzas memory rose tinted as they pumped us a couple of times and McGinn has shivers down his spine as a result of tougher games? Who knows [emoji23]0 -

Signing for Bury I heard.I see Booth has left Dundee United today..0 -
Well this could be sweet payback for the goal that never was that effectively relegated us.
I'm still bitter as feck about it. [emoji23]4 -
Congratulations to Arbroath, I might be in the minority but I will miss the pantomime villain Dick Campbell, always great entertainment and can wind up some precious souls in our support. Enjoy [emoji482]

If you play high balls or make him run into the channels it makes him look terrible, find his feet he can make things happen and bring others into the game.

This group has something about it though and I've not seen for a long time.
I've sat through some pish over the years and I genuinely enjoy the football we're playing at the moment, plus the fact they seem to have a great togetherness.
Regan Hendry pulling the strings should be nowhere near the Rovers, fantastic player. We have a good standard of youth players coming through with the old heads guiding them, John Mcglynn deserves great credit for putting the team together.
