Fun fact: The first goal for the cup was the last time Raith Rovers scored from a corner
Did Laurie Ellis not score from a corner v Dundee in the Scottish?

From what I've heard, extended use of the pitch will only happen once we have alternative changing facilities in place. Which is fair enough.

I think our next boss will be a Jim, I just hope it's a Good one and not a Duff one.

That pars game was tremendous, I remember them singing that we were gonna win feck all at the game before, and us singing it back to them at East End. Quality times.

Does anybody know who and where we are playing on Tuesday?

Rory Brian return?I can confirm that it wasn't Hart.
I can't confirm who it was though.
HTH.0 -
New away top with sponsor signing a massive cheque imho.

I think it would be good if we could half the height of stands behind the goals and reopen the railway stand, one problem with the key tec stand is that it is lower than the railway stand.

So you’d keep 18 players from this season’s squad?
Lennox -hopeless. Get rid.
Brian - KEEP and have him as first choice.
Thomson - great servant. He’s finished though. Get rid.
Bene - I couldn’t care either way.
Davo - another year older but probably one of the only players that cared the last few weeks so I’d give him a new deal.
Murray - Was Excellent the majority of the season. He’s a must keep.
McKay - Keep and have him as first choice.
McHattie - You have got to be fucking kidding me. Get rid.
Watson - I’d keep him as he won’t be on much. Let’s get him established into the team as well. Got a lot to learn though.
Robertson - He’ll still be here anyway as player/coach
Herron - get rid
Matthews - flattered to deceive that season. Get rid.
Berry - don’t know much about him.
Stevenson - don’t know much about him.
Vaughan - extremely frustrating but he’ll be here anyway. If I had the choice, unless he plays on the wing then I’d look to offload him.
Furtado - started well his first few games for us but went rapidly downhill thereafter. I’d probably offer him something though.
Spence - Better than Buchanan but still hopeless. Get rid.
Court - If we offer him a new deal, he needs to play a lot more. I’d get him established into that team next season as well. There is no point having him there as an unused sub for about 30 games of the season.
Yes I would, Lennox is far from useless, maybe injury prone but I think he has been unlucky.
Matthews has been stuck out wide and gone backwards in development but we have a player in there.
McHattie, looks clear of injury and should benefit from a proper pre season.
Herron, I'll give you as I swithered with him.
Spence was dropped for what ever reason when he was scoring, that says more about BS than Spence.
So for me with a few additions that team will take us up.0 -
Alloa and Arbroath both improved over the course of last season, while we got worse.
In the second half of the last campaign, we only won one more point than both of them.
As much as we’ll start off next season as favourites, if we go again with the bulk of that squad, and playing the same way, there’s no chance we’ll pull away from any part-time side that’s went about its summer business well.
To be fair we will also have new faces for the new season. (We hope)0 -
Pity he's on 50 grand a year for another season then!!!
Is he aye?0 -
Buchanan still under contract for next season
Like I said, player I would keep, he wouldn't be one of them.0 -
I think the board have done the right thing, its certainly not going to be popular as reading the comments shows.
Personally I'm all for stability, we have had years of starting again with nothing being built for the future, I'm sure (hope) BS knows where to strengthen the squad to give us more options to make changes going forward.
From the current squad I would keep Lennox and Brian, Thomo, Bene, Davo, Murray, McKay, McHattie (a good pre season would do him good) and Watson.
Robertson, Herron, Matthews, Berry, Stevenson.
Vaughan, Furtado, Spence and Court who I thought linked play quite well considering the lack of game time he has had.1 -
Hibs?
Ross Laidlaw I think?0 -
Voted for Davo myself. Either between him or Euan Murray. It's strange to look back and think nobody knew what to expect of Murray, but he's been an excellent left back for us.
Even stranger was Davos form pre-season, wouldn't have thought I'd have been voting for him now, but he has been solid all season.1 -
The Rovers website now taking votes for supporters player of the year. Davo for me[emoji106]

I dont get the parking issue, where do the hundreds/thousands park on a match day?

He caused us some problems at Starks Park, even though he looked unfit. Certainly didn't look like a 20 year old.

Could McHattie be an option on the left wing with Murray in behind?

I think this is a good game for our U20s to play, we would get to see how far away they are from the main u20s league champions.

I'd love to be able to sit/stand in the railway stand, I prefer watching football from the side of the pitch.

Fair enough but I think it's fair to see theres a big gap in quality between the development league and the professional league.
There totally is a big gap, but he did well with what little D/line threw at him.
Considering d/line looked a bit like hammer throwers last night he looked settled.0 -
Didn't manage to get to the game last night but from the highlights, he had nothing really to do so it's too early to judge.
I seen a few 20's games last season and last night, for a young keeper he has great feet and doesn't panic under pressure.0

Can he sit in the Railway Stand where the referee observers usually sit?
