  1. Not sure about having him over McMullan but I think he'll fit better than Moff. I was a huge Moff fan, but some of his misses especially last season were ridiculous. I'm certain Shiels will have that little bit more composure in front of goal. I thought McMullan got better as the season went on and would continue to improve as so young. Gutted he's at DUFC.
  2. Happy with that. Three more and we'll be good to go. Reckon he can provide the link up from middle to front as Moff did.
  3. Couldn't help but notice how well Nat played yesterday. Reminded me of a young Patrick Viera, if not better. Surely destined for the top, just a matter of time...
  4. We really done well all over the park. That was my first game of the season, I'm disappointed that I didn't see Splaine as I've heard some positive things. Can't argue with that performance though. I thought Clark and McManus worked well together, Higgy was everywhere and big Nat mopped up well. Lochhead was superb when he came on, really is one to watch.
  5. Clark has scored more goals in the first game of this season that Gavin Reilly managed in all of last season.
  6. I think McHugh is a good player in this division. Harkins is rotten though.
  7. If we were going to play 3-5-2 with wing backs then I think JYM would start most weeks. Unfortunately we don't really have the wingbacks for it, so I think it'll be Morris and Ashcroft to start off with. Ashcroft is suspended for Saturday's game with Elgin so I think that is why JYM started last night, so give him opportunity to build a pairing with Morris.
  8. The S*n's twitter page saying we're interested in signing Dene Shiels.
  9. Who's left you guys? I noticed the left back went back down south. Rated him, good player.
  10. Lewis Spence is garbage. I can't wait for you to see this.
  11. Unfortunately you don't get to play the Faissal El Bakhtaoui card though.
  12. I think they both can. Shankland done well with us in his first stint and it just didn't happen for him last season for whatever reason. McManus will have a better team and better players around him this season, therefore I believe he'll have a solid season. No doubt that both have ability.
  13. Wait, hud the bus. It's cause of Elvis Costello who's real name is Declan McManus.
  14. Is McManus actual nickname not Elvis or something. I don't know why but I'm sure the Morton fans referred to him as that when he played there.
  15. Was speaking to the GM recently, hopefully next few weeks. Belter!
  16. Should start to see more movement since most deals ended yesterday.
  17. Kit announced middle June and for sale middle July I think.
  18. Geggan will do well for Ayr in the middle of the park. I felt he was found out in the middle last season, but done okay at RB. Saying that, I think there are better right backs out there and he's not good enough to play in the middle, therefore I think he'll move on. Great servant though and a real fans favourite.
  19. From his past injuries? Wouldn't be surprised if he has some mental effects of the 2/3 bad injuries he got. What was it, dislocated knee then when he finally made a return he broke his leg in two places? Personally I don't rate him as a defender. I don't recall him ever putting in a decent tackle and winning the ball but he could be an asset further forward.
