Seen someone saying there main target would be Alex Neil. He’s another one in the Robinson and McInnes category. The not a hope in hell category. -

Aye that's Iain Wilson. We signed him from Killie last summer on a 2 year deal. Was injured for both playoff games unfortunately. -

Probably more chance of that happening tbh. I believe Sir Stewart of Petrie has a job he enjoys outside of football so going full time might not be his thing, for now anyway. Wouldn't be surprised to see him top the bookies list as a favourite but don't think he'll leave you guys just now. Got a good thing going with you! Well done on reaching the playoffs! -

Just had a quick check and since Hamilton came back into our lives we've played 9 times, 5 wins for Hamilton, 2 wins for us and two draws. That 0-5 game -
Released & Out of Contract Players
The Toun Clock replied to stevie72's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
The Pars haven't announced anything yet but I believe the out of contract players are: Cammy Gill - Young keeper, had the odd chance in the first team and didn't really take it. I'd imagine he'll be offered a new deal though. Lewis Martin - Hasn't kicked a ball for us all season due to a calf injury, pretty sure he's seen a few specialists but no one can get to the bottom of the issue. Must be one of our longest serving players if not the longest serving player and only 25. Heart says we should offer him a new deal but it's difficult to justify. Euan Murray - Was offered a deal months ago and didn't sign, negotiations have continued apparently but I think it's just a matter of time before a lower end Prem club sign him. Steven Whittaker - Hopefully offered a new deal and wants to stay. Great experience and still life in him. Had some really decent performances in centre mid and is also part of the coaching setup. Kyle Turner - 100% will leave the club. Signed as an exciting young player to improve and sell. Had an iffy first season but looked great at the start of this season. Put in a MOTM performance against Hearts, I think they then declared interest in him and his head was gone. Rumoured also to be a bit disruptive so after weeks of him not playing with no reason, he ended up going to Airdrie on loan. Gabby McGill - I actually quite liked him playing with Nesbitt last year. Was on loan at Edinburgh City, then moved to York on loan when the SFL1 & 2 were shelved. Not sure how much he played down there but not a lot by the looks of things. Swinton - Youth player, no idea Miller Fenton - Think he could be one for the future. Went on loan to East Fife and done well by all accounts. Edwards, Berry & Cusick too but they have a 1 year option. (Edwards won YPOTY, hopefully takes the extra year, Berry and Cuisick are youth players, so again no real idea). Mayo, McInroy, Henderson, F.Murray, Banks loans expire. All really good players, I think all but McInroy are still contracted by their parent club into next season. McInroy started well but didn't do much lately, a local lad so could end up joining permanently. Would be happy with Mayo and F Murray coming back on loan. I think Henderson could still have a chance at Celtic but would be pleased to see him back. Banks has class but I think Palace will have other plans for him, potentially a loan to a higher placed team. -

That’ll be the season ticket money staying in the hipper then. On a day where Motherwell reward their fans loyalty with an unbelievable gesture, we’re offered another mediocre season at best. The worry for me is that “the rest” will be better next season. No chance that everyone will be as inconsistent as we look at fans being back in stadiums, but one thing for certain is that we’ll still be garbage. -

Martin Hardie’s header up at Dingwall was key to us going up that season. Moved us above Rovers going into the last few games. -

Probably a good thing. As much as we're all hoping for that announcement it's unlikely it'll come. So if they can't say that I'd rather they posted nothing, especially not a highlights package. Indeed -

Aberdeen were sniffing with regards to a PCA, however that was when he was scoring from set pieces in every game. I don't think he's largely been at fault for a lot of our downfall but I'd be gobsmacked if Aberdeen wanted him now. -

OFW comes across as a top guy but from what I’ve seen this season he’s certainly got a blunder in him. I was actually a bit annoyed at the praise he got for his “strong wrists” and calmness by Michael Stewart on Saturday night because it’s been far from that this season. There’s certainly been a handful of shots where they could have been saved that have either snuck in past him or parried back into a dangerous position. Like mentioned above i’d like to see him coach and be a backup for another keeper. -

This. As much as it would please me to have Stephen Robinson at Dunfermline it's not going to happen. Nearly spat my tea out when I realised he had his own thread on dotnet this morning. -
Raith Rovers v Dunfermline Athletic
The Toun Clock replied to Hank Scorpio's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
A win is the only result acceptable for the Pars tonight. Fail to win tonight I feel we'll just see out the end of the season and probably finish 5th picking up a handful of points. I know mathematically we're still in there but with our form I could quite easily see ICT and Queens overtaking us considering the form they seem to be in. A win puts us right back in the picture and will boost the confidence a bit, especially since we've only won away from home once in the league this season and that was back in October. If we can pick up the three points away from home, at a promotion rival then I think there will be a big confidence boost and we might have a bit more fight and spirit going into the Hearts game at EEP on Saturday. Raith could probably afford to draw tonight although a win for them would be excellent and really cements their top 4 finish as they'd be 6 points ahead of Pars, ICT and Queens. -

Did he manage a league goal for us in the Championship? Or just a couple against Brechin in the league cup. That was his first game back, absolutely hammered them and there was a feeling that the good times were back, oh how wrong were we! -

Noticed someone posting some of his goals on Twitter, forgot about that great passing move at Stenny, what a goal. If that's scored in the Premiership it's talked about for years. Last time really didn't work out well but it was one of the worst Pars teams I've ever seen, from the keeper to the striker. I'd take him back until the end of the season if it's on offer, just for the craic like. -
It was as close to a touchdown as I’ve seen. Pretty sure he caught the ball with his back to goal, turned on the line and dropped it into the net. Still, they all count, I think?

Gabby McGill goes on loan to Edinburgh City for six months. I assume we’re going to bring a new striker in tomorrow on loan or on a free? Might get a few more PPV buyers ahead of the league campaign. -

Noticed in the group of photos from last night that Lewis McCann looks huge! There's a photo of him coming on as a sub, it could all be angles but it looks like he dwarfs McGill who is a decent size of a loddy. Always knew McCann was lanky, but he looks like he's hit the gym over the close season. -

I think he'll drop to one up front with two supporting from wide again on Saturday. He went with 2 up against Falkirk as we were at home and playing lower league opposition. I think he expected Killie to be weaker at the back so went for two up last night but this weekend on league duty against a team who'll be challenging us I'm sure he'll be a bit more cautious. Great win last night. Someone put together the average age of both starting 11's and ours was younger than Killie's. Shame that it'll be looked at a youth team, but when I seen their starting 11 for the match I was shocked and half expected we'd struggle.
