  1. Derek Riordan returned to Hibs and his old 10 shirt was taken. So he opted for 01 - utter bollocks. Get back in with a squad number and earn the number 10 shirt back
  2. He'd have my support naturally but he'd really have to pull his finger out. Thought money bags Falkirk might have tried to get him in considering how prolific he was when we won league 1.
  3. Didn't bother travelling yesterday as I wanted to watch on BT, although usually when we're on the telly we let ourselves down. Well how surprised was I? That first half was as good as I've seen us in a year. I think we took the foot off a bit in the second half, I wouldn't say St.Mirren done well and the BT Sport pundits seemed to think the same. They've a lot of work to do if they want to stay up. The left back was hopeless. As for our lot - Scully didn't have his best games but apart from a few crosses he didn't have a lot to do. Comrie was composed, he isn't going to bomb on like Williamson but he'll be twice the defender Williamson will ever be. Morrison, Ashcroft and Martin all done well, especially the latter. I feel he's used the time away from the team last season to bulk up. Paton isn't a glamorous footballer but when in dangerous positions he gets rid, rather than fcuk about and lose position in a risky area. Beadling, Dow & Coley were really good and Ryan and Nisbet looked like a partnership that is starting to blossom. That'll improve as we go. McGill, Turner and McCann all done well when they came on. The most pleasing thing was they kept trying to go forward when they had the ball. The only thing in mind was attack and try to get another goal. Thought it a bit odd that Crawford has removed Ashcroft as the skipper, however I agree with the decision. Hopefully it allows the big man to concentrate on his own game which lacked last season. Pleased Paton now has the armband, he's been and done it before as captain and played at an international level.
  4. PJ Crossan signed a 1 year deal with Dumbarton yesterday. Grass isn't always greener...
  5. First song utter crap for a run out song. Back to the iPod for you
  6. That definitely is a dream signing list [emoji23]
  7. It has to be said that the most stunning piece of kit in this whole thread is the boots Joe Cardle is wearing. Love an old pair of OG colour Preds!
  8. We had an experienced team last season and we were rank rotten. Most of the players had played at Championship level or higher.
  9. When I heard we were getting a black & yellow away kit I was happy, but I'm hoping it's not just plain yellow with the black manufacturer logo. That would be bottom of the pile.
  10. That's not the same strip, their effort looks much better.
  11. I like that Morton top. It looks a bit retro, I'm sure I had a Scotland top like that from the early naughties. Who's the manufacturer on that Dundee top?
  12. Mate, we're loaded now after the sale of Jackson Longridge.
  13. It was just paper talk but the paper's actually said we'd beaten Morton to securing his signing, no smoke without fire so I'd imagine it'll be completed shortly when he returns from his jollys.
  14. El Bakhtaoui made the jump from league 1 to Premiership and was hopeless, it’s ruined the boy. I hope Nisbet gradually makes the step up by going via championship with us. If El Bakhtaoui done that I’m sure he’d have got on a lot better but junk was too big and he couldn’t cope. When he played against Dundee and Ross Co in the cup whilst we were in league 1 he was superb, so why the move didn’t work I’ll never know. He did manage to grab goals against both of the OF and a few others whilst at Dundee but he looked miles off it.
  15. Nisbet will be signed by the end of the day. Mark these words with a big ol marker pen.
  16. Jacko will be a loss but he’s replaceable. Might get shot down for this but I feel the only position Lewis Martin can actually play is full back. The season before last he was solid there, the injured for all of last. If he can get fit and maintain that level of fitness then give him a shot.
  17. Highly likely. Has left Dundonald and now some local papers are reporting that he’s coming to us.
  18. A winger who doesn’t like to cross the ball, more likely to turn back than go to the byline. Showed one or two signs of promise against Peterhead in the Betfred Cup but nothing after that. He’ll probably get on a bit better in league one and I’m sure RM has managed him at Raith and possibly Dundee Utd. Was pleased to see him not get a new deal, put it that way.
  19. Odd how we weren’t paying a fee for Nisbet but will for Murray. Wonder if it’s a double deal, Craigy Brown get your camera out!
  20. Just watched an interview with Murray on YouTube, where’s he from originally? Sounded very Fife.
  21. If we’re flinging 5 figs at this guy then surely Nisbet will be next.
  22. How do development fees work? I thought you had to come up through a clubs youth system to warrant a fee.
