  1. Rumors of a board meeting at East End tomorrow...
  2. If my memory serves me right, we've never won a Friday night televised game since they were introduced within the last decade. I can recall the pilot Friday night game against Aberdeen at Pittodrie, think we were 4-0 down early on, maybe even HT. We got beat by Airdrie in the season we won the league, coldest night of football I can recall. Humped at home to St.Mirren last season at home on a Friday and then the 2-2 with Dundee on the opening weekend this season. I'm sure there are others. Anyway, point I was trying to make was that it does't bode well.
  3. Aye I'd absolutely keep Shields involved when it comes to the youngsters, but the other pair are done as far as I'm concerned.
  4. Yogi managed to win the Scottish Cup with ICT, I know that would’ve been better budgets but its still ICT. I’m not saying that makes him a good man to take over a struggling championship team but if anyone thinks Yogi would do worse than Crawford then their bonkers. I thought AJ’s tactics were bad when plan A didn’t work, but this is unbelievable, we don’t even have a plan A just now, because if we score we then shit the bed, and if we concede we shit the bed and the other team breaks us down and wins. Sorry for all the Yogi chat, maybe I’m just fed up and looking at all routes. If the announcement is made in the next 36 hours then it’ll be guys like him on the list.
  5. Wouldn't be doing any worse than the current management and that's an absolute fact.
  6. I'd actually take Yogi, been saying it for months. Couldn't care less about his daft wee stint with Raith, they were already destined for the drop.
  7. Now someone else saying the player on Monday is a Celtic CM that was released. So that would make me think it's another kid...
  8. Someone on dotnet saying there was due to be two signings on Monday, one we will be happy with and a young Italian guy. The Italian has now opted to sign for an English club but still one due in. Board meeting on Monday also according to this guy. Could be pish but worth mentioning.
  9. Every chance it comes tomorrow or Monday. Correct me if I'm wrong but AJ wasn't sacked after the Saturday game, sure it was midday on the Monday it began to come out.
  10. Wasn't at the game today, decided after the two recent home defeats that i'd sit out for a bit unless a change was made. What formation did we actually go with as it was hard to tell from the lineup on Twitter. I can't see where the next win comes from, even the next point. Let's say we start brightly against Dundee, they'll figure us out after 20 and take control. QoS doing okay now and Palmerston not at east place to go. Thistle about to reinvest some cash, could be an entirely new team come the game.
  11. Exactly Stella! If the home defeats to Alloa and Ayr were from Dundee Utd and ICT you'd maybe understand but they weren't. We've been a chore to watch for at least 18 months now with the odd glimmer of hope. Even the wins were pretty ugly except from maybe two games against Partick.
  12. Surely you're at it? If the teams below us played today we more than likely would be 8th!
  13. So Coley, Cochrane, McDonald and Ryan all have to be replaced, possibly Kiltie and a keeper. Craw's got his work cut out this January.
  14. I think the time is right for change, the Crawford management spell hasn’t worked. There’s been a couple of good parts but nothing worth mentioning. The fault is on the chairman and board for going with this option. I thought it was very odd at the time that we sacked AJ and appointed Crawford within 24 hours as permanent manager. He hadn’t even had one caretaker game. The last few games at home have been absolute snoozefests, even with the wins. I’d love a manager who’ll stamp a bit of authority because I don’t think the current one has that. It’s a shame, because I loved him as a player but it’s not worked.
  15. We really should be winning our home games against all clubs outside the Dundee clubs and possibly ICT as a push. It's not quite went that way this season, however I still think we should be winning this one. Arbroath are a good organised side and are high on confidence after a good result at the weekend. Looking back on our season so far I'd say nothing but a win acceptable here if we want to kick on.
  16. He's travelled with the Norn Irish U-19's so I don't think it's too bad.
  17. Kiltie has been decent, he's just surrounded by panicky trash at the moment. You can tell he's got that bit of quality about him but unfortunately he's not good enough on his own to turn our shakey looking team into winners. I actually like the team Crawford's built but they look like they've not played football before. We all know then can, which is fine, but it's been far from good and things need to improve rapidly. Pockets of the support already looking for the chairman to relieve Stevie of his duties but that's one million miles off. A lose tomorrow and those pockets will only increase and we then have a similar situation to last season where we were hopeless and the fans wanted AJ out. Only thing this time is that the fans to love Stevie.
  18. We can't keep clean sheets against Alloa & Arbroath, we're not going to do it against Ayr & Dundee Utd on their current form.
  19. Well that's crap. I think we miss Dow's energy, he really has became a big player for us in such a short period of time.
  20. I'd honestly take us playing 5-4-1 this weekend, just like we did at Celtic Park. Make it difficult for them to score, defend like mad men then catch them on the counter. That sounds like we're giving ICT a lot of respect, and we should be. We've been pathetic in the last two games against two of the teams most pundits would select as 9 & 10 come the end of the season. ICT are no mugs, we need to make it difficult for them. GK) Scully or Gill - Scully is a good shot stopper but a lot of his game is questionable. He looks a completely different person to the guy who picked up back to back POTY awards whilst on loan with us. CD - Christ knows who'll be fit but if I could choose it would be Murray, Martin & Ashcroft. I'd probably play Lang instead of Ashcroft but I don't think he'll be fit. Comrie at right wing back and Edwards at left wing back. Dow/Cochrane/Turner/Kiltie Nesbitt
