  1. Wilson is injured so already behind in terms of fitness and Allan is just a kid. Central midfielders absolutely needed.
  2. Sunny Thursday, seems like a good day for a signing or two. *prays*
  3. Aye for all his plaudits last season I don't recall seeing him play unless he played in the 5-1 game at Starks? I know he was definitely injured in the playoff games.
  4. It's not just a single player though, I think that's five Killie have brought in now. Anyway, was just a wee joke, I'm sure no one actually thinks Peter Grant is on holiday, pressure is on to get his first signing right.
  5. Stephen McGinn joins Killie. Wasting no time at Rugby Park. Peter Grant away on holiday?
  6. News just in. Greg Sheilds and Steven Whittaker first team coaches under Grant. Whittaker has retired from playing. Physio Jamie Sutton and Sports Scientist Gary McColl also leaving. New Head Physiotherapist is Rob Dicke who was most recently with Rangers and new Sports Scientist/Strength and Conditioning coach Paul Green who was at Hibs.
  7. Pretty quiet on all fronts. Grant's been appointed for over a week and we still don't know who his assistant, coaches will be. I'd imagine Sheilds will be involved and Whittaker hasn't been announced as leaving, or as having sighed a new deal so I'd imagine he'll be involved of he wants to. I do think Grant will bring in his own assistant.
  8. I liked Murray but I'm really not bothered that he's away. We've known he was going to leave since about October. He had a good aerial threat early doors where he scored 7 in 7 or something but he didn't have a sniff after that. He's a good defender but I think Watson is better and big Gasputis can be better. More than happy going into the season with those two at the back with Comrie and Edwards.
  9. RE McManus. I noticed he shared something on his Instagram stories a couple of weeks ago. It was some sort of quote along the lines of football being like a rollercoaster, very little you can control so don’t worry about the future. Then there was separate message from someone telling him not to worry/get caught up in the uncertainty. Thought that was a bit weird for a player under contract. The dates do coincide with Craw resigning so maybe he’s worried he won’t be in the new managers plans. I was quite happy when Dec rejoined us last summer and he did score some big goals, however he didn’t score enough. Wighton is an all round good player, and O’Hara seemed to get better as the season went on, plus he’s worked with PG before so I think McManus will find himself out the starting 11, even if we’re playing two up.
  10. Peter Grant as a manager terrifies me as much as anyone on the McBookie list. Just got relegated, managerial record is dreadful. Take away the teams he’s been a coach at, when he’s been the manager it’s piss poor and not what we should be looking at to get out of the league. I had no faith that Craw would get us promoted this coming season, was sure that we were destined for another mediocre season but that doesn’t sound too bad now.
  11. Hope Howe wants Grant at Celtic because if he doesn’t he’ll be at East End and that is terrifying.
  12. Csaba Laszlo has done an interview with the Courier saying he wants to return to Scottish football but not to Tannadice. Also said Scotland is his home now and he is settled in Edinburgh. Has worked in Germany before. Did he have the Dundee Utd team that reached the playoffs but were papped out by Livi? Not sure he'd be my choice but his article is interesting.
  13. If this situation was in the Premiership we'd be looking at Aberdeen having a vacancy and filling it with Brian Rice from Hamilton after they were relegated. Would that happen? No. Same rules should apply here.
  14. Win percentage at Alloa 28%. But at least they passed the ball about nicely.
  15. Notice he's just went to 3rd favorite with McBookie at 5/1, second favourite to go back to ICT.
  16. Looking at the names on the betting lists (purely speculation) I'd be happy with Petrie, Levein or if we're going to go for a German guy then the boy Zorniger. Petrie because he's hungry, has the Mo punching above their weight and is a top bloke. Levein get's a lot of snash but I actually quite like him as a manager if not the most exciting. Bags of experience, lots of contacts for players and I honestly think would get us promoted. And Zorniger if we're going for something different, has a good resume and well it just sounds quite exciting...
  17. I really like GS, and I hope he stays in charge of youth/potential academy but I don’t want to see a sideways step with someone already at the club. I was underwhelmed when Stevie was appointed but like we all were I was willing to give it a go. What difference would Shields make, he was already heavily involved last season when things weren’t going well?
  18. Alexander Zorniger who managed Stuttgart and Leipzig, Jan Kocian who managed Slovakia and was assistant at Austria amongst others and Tim Walter who also managed Stuttgart as well as Bayern Munich II.
  19. Crawford interview on courier website https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/scottish-championship/2235220/it-feels-like-burnout-stevie-crawford-opens-up-on-why-he-quit-dunfermline/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&amp&__twitter_impression=true
  20. Seen someone saying there main target would be Alex Neil. He’s another one in the Robinson and McInnes category. The not a hope in hell category.
