  1. Hopefully that game is after the next set of restrictions are released. I'm pretty sure the Rangers fans will want to get back to Ibrox in big numbers after missing out last season, could be a tasty sum of £££ for us.
  2. Indeed, and a lot of people paid on the last day of the month. If we go back to the last day of June we didn’t have a midfield and hadn’t played any proper games. The early form, goals and good signings will get bums on seats. I’m not sure we’ll get 3000 but certainly nearer 2500.
  3. I'm sure we will have a much more normal season as fans this year. Restrictions to be removed in Scotland before we play second home match. Motherwell already allowing 2000 Hibs fans this weekend.
  4. Fir Park has a capacity of 13,000 odds, they've been given an allocation of 6500 including 2000 away fans. The away end at Fir Park is also being used for away changing. Now I know the setup of the away end at Fir Park is two tiered with more facilities but surely we could arrange for the away team to change in the gym located in the SE corner? IMO both teams should be able to get changed in the changing rooms, it's madness that they don't. I'd say by time the first home game kicks off next weekend we'll have more than 2000 ST's.
  5. Could be. Just that I noticed all Scottish Prem clubs confirmed the attendances for their first fixtures and most had a significant increase on 2000. You're probably right though.
  6. Got an email from the club about signing up for season tickets following the arrival of Dorran's. It goes on to say only 2000 will be allowed into the Thistle game which doesn't take place until a week on Saturday. Quite disappointing considering other clubs have applied for larger attendances and have had them accepted. Hopefully we have and it just hasn't been approved yet.
  7. Killie will be the favorites and rightly so but I think we can have a good go this year. Hearts, Hibs, Rangers, Dundee and Dundee Utd have all came into this division thinking that they will romp it and have gone on to lose games, it will be no different at Killie. Personally I don't see Accies being in contention as they've lost some players but not replaced them. I also don't think Raith will be as good as last season, losing Hendry will be a big blow, he made them tick. He didn't play the night we humped them 4-1 and that was probably a massive factor. ICT have had a poor league cup group. This signing has definitely given me the buzz. I was already looking forward to getting back but I'm really looking forward to it now.
  8. A game I didn't attend as I was riddled with the cold but did watch on telly was when Celtic humped us 1-8 at East End, 1-4 down at HT. Just checked the teams and we had some absolute jobbers playing like Bryn Halliwell in goals and Andy Campbell. Celtic had guys like Roy Keane, Balde, Petrov, Nakamura, Lennon, Maloney, Hartson, Zurawski etc. Just noticed Allan McGregor was an unused sub. Not sure what difference he would have made but certainly better than Halliwell.
  9. I've not been to any of the cup games, what type of midfielder is Paul Allan?
  10. At their best Dorran's was comfortably better than Shiels. Also, AJ weirdly signed Shiels as a CM when he had always played as a wide player/winger/forward before that. Dorran's is a CM and will play there if he signs. He'll also have legs of Cole/Thomas/Pybus/Allan around him. When we signed Shiels he had Michael Paton and big Nat.
  11. I'd be willing to give Dorrans a chance. Similar to when we got Whittaker, best days are certainly behind him but he could add to what is a very youthful midfield. Might not have the legs but I'm sure will still be technically a very sound footballer.
  12. Courier linking us with Graham Dorrans. Also confirms the Rhys Breen deal is done just waiting on his isolation period finishing following return from USA.
  13. Agree with you there Grant. The day out and game itself had everything.
  14. Was one of them, possibly the last goal not a screamer from Ross Forbes? Thistle were very good that season.
  15. There have certainly been a good few as a Pars fan but one of the ones that sticks out for me was a 5-1 thumping by Thistle at Firhill. I remember being really hungover but so was already off to a bad start but wanted to go and enjoy what I thought would be a close game between two title contenders. I think this game was in the November so our off-field troubles were starting to be known, players not getting paid etc. I think Thistle went 1 up early doors and we may have equalised but it was an absolute pasting after that. We did however draw Thistle away in the Scottish Cup in a tie that was played a fortnight later and managed to win 0-1 with an Andy Barrowman header so was a little easier to forget. Special mentions to the 0-3 Cowden playoff game, losing 2-0 to Livi in a must win game that thankfully put the nail in Davie Hay's managerial coffin, two back to back home games in 2007/08 where we played Hamilton and Livi and I think the aggregate scoring was 0-9. I'm sure I'll think of more as the day goes on.
  16. I noticed that the boy that got sent off in the pre season game at Spartans has signed for Torquay Utd
  17. Peter Grant has been in the door just shy of two months and his two assistants were both at the club last season so they would good knowledge of what we lack. I'm happy with the signing of Todarov and I think I'm happy with Mehmet, but the last two signings are bizarre and don't fit the quality over quantity that he's going for. Pybus may turn out to do well but let's be honest, he wasn't getting kept on at QoS and that's not the barrel we should be scraping from. The boy from Utd is only 20 and apparently had a good season at Cove last year, however is he any better than what we currently have?
  18. The Press are reporting that we're the preferred bidder for the old Rosyth Civil Service Club in terms of a new training base.
  19. The signings will have to be real quality because we're middle of the table level with what we currently have.
  20. Anyone know Russian for we're fu*king loaded? Celtic, Rangers and two big Russian teams in for Nizzy!
  21. Good luck to the laddie but it’s difficult to get excited about. I wish the club had just fired it up on the socials instead of the Office GIF like we were about to do some serious business.
  22. Jason Leitch seems to think we'll have full stadiums by some time in August. I you can get 60,000 in Wembley then we should be allowed every ST holder in East End, spaced out at the very least. I'm going to get a ST in the next couple of days, have to be honest though, I'm not overly fussed about going to the football if I can't go with my mates and sit in silence on my own.
