    Paton can play up front as well. Personally I'd give Smith a go this weekend to lead the line with McManus if Clark is out.

    Bradley Fewster was the other on trial I think. Certainly looks the most promising. Played at a decent level down south, looks a quick, nippy wee player.

    Thanks for signing Hutton. Someone said he was playing in a bounce game for us last night and scored. Was worried we were going to sign him.

    Seems Wigan and Hartlepool fans were talking about Fewster on twitter with the chance of him going there. Then he was playing for us in a bounce game last night. I watched a few videos on him, could be a really useful player. Really want Herron to sign.

    Not sure about having him over McMullan but I think he'll fit better than Moff. I was a huge Moff fan, but some of his misses especially last season were ridiculous. I'm certain Shiels will have that little bit more composure in front of goal. I thought McMullan got better as the season went on and would continue to improve as so young. Gutted he's at DUFC.

    Couldn't help but notice how well Nat played yesterday. Reminded me of a young Patrick Viera, if not better. Surely destined for the top, just a matter of time...

    We really done well all over the park. That was my first game of the season, I'm disappointed that I didn't see Splaine as I've heard some positive things. Can't argue with that performance though. I thought Clark and McManus worked well together, Higgy was everywhere and big Nat mopped up well. Lochhead was superb when he came on, really is one to watch.

    Clark has scored more goals in the first game of this season that Gavin Reilly managed in all of last season.

    I think McHugh is a good player in this division. Harkins is rotten though.

    If we were going to play 3-5-2 with wing backs then I think JYM would start most weeks. Unfortunately we don't really have the wingbacks for it, so I think it'll be Morris and Ashcroft to start off with. Ashcroft is suspended for Saturday's game with Elgin so I think that is why JYM started last night, so give him opportunity to build a pairing with Morris.

    I think they both can. Shankland done well with us in his first stint and it just didn't happen for him last season for whatever reason. McManus will have a better team and better players around him this season, therefore I believe he'll have a solid season. No doubt that both have ability.
