Thanks for taking an interest and, hopefully, sharing some of the details. Our club specific forum was overun with zoomers and disappeared so this is pretty much the best place to post. There's a Facebook page (COYB) but that's where the zoomers relocated to.

Afraid not. I'd ask questions, report it and let the authorities deal with it. I wouldn't take to social media a day or so later and spout unfounded pish. He saw an opportunity to get out of dodge and took it - at the club's expense, in more ways than one.

The whole episode winds me right up. In my 35 years supporting I've never heard even a bit of racism from our fans. Never. Yet in less than a day we were tarnished and villified as the second coming of the KKK by our club, player, manager and national media. All those culpable for reacting so appallingly to a second-hand allegation should be apologising.

Surely Alan Gow isn't wealthy enough on the back of his playing career to buy the club?

Unless a full statement is made to the effect that they got it badly wrong, our club and fans will be regarded as racist for years to come and we'll be paying the price.
