  1. That doesn't say anything about the quality of his crosses, which over the piece haven't been quite good enough IMO.
He was originally a striker I think, then was used as an inverted winger at his previous club, but McInytre has almost exclusively used him as an out-and-out right winger. He doesn't have enough pace or quality in the final ball to be a leading winger in the top flight.

Franks has the best crossing in the SPL this season apparently
  2. We've been so lucky with Midges form and fitness for the last two seasons. We depend on him so much and perhaps take him for granted. When he's out like just now we are really lacking out wide, Burke looked good for a couple games but that's just been it a couple games, no use really. For me Franks and Dingwall just don't cut it and are surplus to the squad so the signing of O'Brien and Lalkovic are huge for us and shows that Jim and Billy are intent on sticking with our high tempo attacking style, personally I love it even though we can end up getting gubbed like in the celtic match where we just went all out for it.
I'm delighted Jim O'Brien has signed and had such a good debut. I'm just a bit gutted I'm going to have to wait until motherwell on 31st before I get to see a game.

I agree with almost all of this but with reference to "gubbed by celtic" I'd probably prefer to lose 4-0 having a proper go at it rather than sitting in all boring and losing 1-0. 3pts lost is 3pts lost unless goal difference is hugely crucial at that point in time
  3. I'm not convinced that either Franks or Dingwall are good enough as wide players at this level.
I'd even rather see McLaughlin given match time at wide left, he can certainly cross a good ball into the box.
Welcome to The County Jim O'Brien [emoji4]

I think Tony had been great this season, bit more end product and a run in the starting 11 would shape him very well
  4. Never really "supported" as such however all 4 of my uncles (hardcore Rangers fans) used to buy me tops, goalie gloves, mugs, posters all brandishing the rangers logo for every birthday and Christmas till I was about 12. Never really even watched them until I was taken to a mid week game vs killie (got a day off school so what 11 year old wouldn't go). Went to a lot of ross county games but back then was never really a team you "supported" if someone were to ask who you supported and you said "county" it'd be followed by "aye but Rangers or Celtic?". Forward on a few year I started going to near every Ross county game, converted my brother also who had a similar upbringing. Convinced uncles to start taking their young boys to county home games so they don't grow up thinking football is a tv show. Currently in the process of converting 2 of my friends (1 sevco & 1 Seltik) they come to maybe every other close away day and occasional home games. Obviously you'll still see the "hail hail" and "WATP" statuses on facebook from them both but they've recently started saying "I like seeing county win vs any team other than Celtic/Rangers" and have even started singing county songs at games. The recent 3-2 win over the caley tramps has defo got a bit of passion out of them.

There is hope yet of ridding their souls of their sinful ways, give me another year and I'll promise season tickets will be in hand
