  1. Neighbours from hell given their notice. Genuinely buzzing.
  2. Getting stuck behind someone having an absolute shocker on the self service machine.
  3. The "town crier" in work. Anytime she cottons on to any "news" breaking she barks it out, usually reading the first few lines of the news report as if everyone else is incapable of looking it up if they're semi interested. Been particularly horrific given the amount of celebrity deaths this year ("AW NO THATS VICTORIA WOOD AWAY NOW") and the Olympics ("ANOTHER GOLD FOR US IN THE SAILING") Incredibly petty but so fucking annoying day in, day out.
  4. Train rammed on the way home last night due to lack of available carriages, shit happens. Folk either shouting and bawling or sending passive aggressive tweets to Scotrail. Not going to change a thing, pointless even getting wound up about it.
  5. Wife was absolutely convinced that the lead character in Murder She Wrote was called Magatha Thatcher. Ended up just agreeing to keep the peace.
  6. Oh the Weegie patter. Football fans doing similar on a train get threatened with British Transport Police.
  7. The noise when folk scrape the last remnants of ice cream (or whatever) from the bowl with the spoon. Hellish.
  8. Bought a stubble trimmer today, since I'm looking for a halfway house between unkempt stubble and clean shaven. I've never used an electric shaver in my life so I've genuinely no idea how to effectively use the thing - seem to have a "comb" on it and a few different lengths but not sure if 2mm means it takes 2mm off or leaves my face with 2mm?
  9. So any time anyone describes anything as good/bad/ok/pish/amazing they should add the caveat that it's their opinion? It's blindingly obvious that it's an opinion surely?
  10. Haha aye. "Aye but that's your opinion" - Captain Obvious to the rescue. "I'm entitled to my opinion" - suggesting that disagreement = disputing the right to an opinion Mental chat.
  11. I don't see the point in spending a fortune going to gigs, live music, festivals etc when you can just stick the music on in the hoose. Usually get the "well you go and watch fitba when you could watch it in the hoose" back, but I counter that with the unpredictability of sport as opposed to what you get at a gig. Also quite routinely describe music I don't like as pish, although it tends to get folks backs up and draws a futile argument about "opinions"
  12. It was a great move for the lad and their manager seems to know a lot about developing players. To be fair Bournemouth were very much a lower league club at that point, but aye - some of our fans properly spat the dummy out and had a go at him, some even still maintain he'd have been better sticking with us. Bit embarrassing.
