Aye mate dont disagree with much of any of that. Medda is more about hope as Glasgow uni are a dangerous side but cup football anything is possible. Yeah shortlees were in a similar position last season and surprised us all. New farm will get to sit back tomorrow and hope for a draw I would imagine. Same for crosshouse but they might be more dependant on the draw. I'd love to see onthank go on a run and clinch a playoff place but as u say stabilising after the last couple weeks will be an achievement in it's own

Not many games on this weekend in ayrshire due to the select match. Some huge games tho.
Shortlees starting to fall behind in games played so taking the risk of playing when I imagine they will have a couple players in the select squad. It will be a tough game against a decent dirrans side but with the return of Knapp i can see them coming away with 3 points
West kilbride have a must win game in the race for promotion against dailly who in turn will be needing the win for their title push but again starting to fall behind in games played so will that scupper their promotion hopes.
Beith largs and whittletts all in action this week in 2b and as I can see nothing but a beith win away to bellfield, Largs must avoid defeat to keep in the promotion race. Home advantage should see them leapfrog whitletts into second imo. Onthank also in action and again a must win but feel even that may be too little for them at this stage
Biggest game of the lot for me and I hope the full of ayrshire get behind them is Irvine meadow in the west. A great achievement for a team 2nd bottom of the 1st division to i
Be in the last 16 of the west and if they can scrape past Glasgow uni then we will be guaranteed an ayrshire side in the semis. All the best the medda

Got to agree. If that had been the Scottish cups both teams would have been hung out to dry. I know the aafa have a hard job but if that is the actual outcome/ verdict then it's wrong imo. Dont dare swear during a game tho. That's a 3 match ban. Start/ participate in a on field riot and u will be given the point that u had earned with more than 2/3 of the game played. Very fortunate no deductions handed out imo. I'm assuming there would be been a financial penalty too thoHow on earth they clubs, catrine in particular, can effectively escape punishment for that game is beyond me. That basically gives clubs carte blanche to behave however they want. I guarantee there's certain clubs in Ayrshire who would not have escaped punishment had they behaved in that manner. One rule for one and another for others** just been told that the game is not being replayed and the result will show as a lose in the league table for both teams. So in effect a 1 point deduction each

Im led to believe the catrine v crosshiuse game wont be replayed so a point each ( very lucky) and the mossblown v troon game was a injury to ref and will be replayed. The association really should relay these decision back to ALL clubs and general public thrubthe website imo.

Smashing club Logan. What happened at dirrans
Kilmarnock Amateurs always looking. Give us a wee message and I can sort out the manager getting in touch mate.0 -
That's me just catching up with the rest of the results from Saturday. Mauchline getting a point off crosshiuse and glenmuir taking a heavy beating off west kilbride two shockers.

Yeah I took in this game. They were very impressive. Some of the football they played was brilliantHurlford ams look like theyre picking up again, was there on saturday n they looked very comfortable with theyre 4.0 win (if anything should have been more) brought in a few guys it looks like0 -
Ardeer. On their day can mix it with the best in that league. Little inconsistent tho but a smashing team. Was shocked seening that result and nothing against ardeer but woulda liked to see glenburn win to keep it interesting at the topTook in the glenburn game, hard fought game glenburn struggled to handle ardeer wee number 90 -
I agree in part. It shows the difference between the top 2/3 in the prem and the first. shortlees have done that and worse to teams in their own league and it is only a few months ago that shortlees struggled to get past crosshill in the Ayrshire cup so I wouldn't read too much into a one off result, if that have been a cumnock / galston / tarbolton etc v meadow it would never have ended up like that. Some result for ardeer against glenburn yesterday.
Shortlees pumping of the medda shows the difference from the premier to the 1st
Delighted to see mauchline get there first win of the season. Well done to the new management team there.
I was at the Waverly v newfarm game yesterday and can hand on heart say it was the worst performance iv ever seen from a referee. I don't like hanging them out to dry but of the 7 goals scored he must have made an incorrect decision in the lead up to at least 4 of them. NewFarm denied an absolute stick on penalty when the keeper took out the newfarm attacker and then gifted them a penalty in the 3rd minute of stoppage time to win it 4-3 as if to make up for his error. I really felt for Waverly as they were the better team on the day but didn't really create many chances other than the goals. Still fancy them to come good and maybe clinch 2nd spot but looks like it will be some battle for they promotion places.1 -
Well said mateGreat wee guy , great player , will be missed in the amateur game , what a character in general , RIP Skoda .x0 -
Hearing some terrible news tonight that young Skoda has died today. Devastated for everyone that knew him. Friends, family and his current club onthank. Also to everyone at craigie where he spent most of his amateur days [emoji174]

Shuts me up then 🤣[emoji23]Powerleagues been shut aswell mate0 -
I know what u mean and if the forecast was snow once or twice a day then fair enough but in the killie area it wasn't to snow between wed and and Sunday. Surely a couple hours Manual labour would be worth the money they have lost out on since. I feel it's more a sign of the times. Just cant be fucked. If these were privately owned like a powerleague, shoot or soccerworld etc then they would have been cleared by thur morning. Typical councilWouldn't fancy that job tbh. Clear it all then it snows again.2 -
This was my thinking too. If the snow was cleared by the maintenance contractor on Wed then the pitches would be playable. Instead they just leave it and now are likely to miss out on Wed_thur Fri and all weekend bookings. Seems crazy to meWhos in charge of keeping these “ all weather “ astro parks clear? Surely the the school jannies no tasked way it0 -
Is it on astro. Have yous heard if it's likely to be on yet. Was passing the grange this morning and had a look at the astro there and not a chance a game of football is being played on that tomorrow.
Stewarton is a 2pm KO at Clydebank High School.1 -
Has anyone heard where the new farm v crosshouse game is to be played this Saturday. Saying dean park on the website. If so not a chance that will be played . Should be a cracker and either going for this game of a trip to Glasgow to see how stewarton get on in the Scottish.

Does anyone know how the Ayrshire select are getting on today ?

Yeah mate i made it down myself today and they were very impressive to be honest. Is it Kilmarnock you are from mate? The new farm midfield is just so full of energy and in Parker up front they have a 30 goal striker. Also they had about 9 players stripped at the side of the park which cant be a bad thing, there seems to be a togetherness there that maybe wasn't there in the games I saw them last season. I know itvwas a cup game but meadow seem to be on a good run of results the now, could they be a contender for promotion, loads of games to catch up on tho.I hear where your coming from m8. I watch New Farm if our game is off watched them today as they dominated 3rd place West Kilbride and I'm sorry but I still cant see anyone catching them. A very convincing 4-2 victory today. Well drilled and play as a unit. I know some teams have games in hand but NF have points in the bag.
Was a little shocked to see galston suffer so much at hurlford. Galston seemed to have turned a corner tho but I suppose thistle can do that to any team on their day.0 -
Not seen too much of new farm This season compared to other seasons mate but what I know of them I wouldn't count them as even finishing In the top three just yet. I fully believe they deserve to be where they are at the moment but they have this ability of shooting themselves in the foot when they look home and dry. The first is a very competitive league and I still think 4 maybe 5 teams have a realistic chance of going up. I do agree tho that they 4/5 teams wouldn't look too out of place in the prem. But most certainly bottom half I think.Cant see anybody catching New Farm tbh watched them against Dirrans in a friendly on Saturday although it was a draw NFL were the much better side rolling subs took the shine off the game. Top 3 or 4 in first easily on a par with bottom half of the Premier, if not better.0 -
Good to see crosshouse putting a difficult couple of weeks behind them to get back to winning way thumping a good glenmuir side. Things heating up in both the premier league and the 1st division.

Yeah the 85 mins was brilliant and as u say on another day st pats win. I had a shift to start in Ayrshire at 10 so had to shoot early. I'm a big supporter of Ayrshire ammies and will find a random game to go to today but I have to say, The level of central games iv seen this season is miles ahead of anything Ayrshire have
