  1. Dempsey falling over rather than putting in a challenge just sums us up.
  2. Far too little support for Dowds with this setup. We could play all day and not score. The goal was predictable. Without McGinty we're vulnerable in the air. Pretty much the only bright spot for me in that half is the amount of work Young is putting in.
  3. Definitely think another centre half in the window would be an idea. If we lose Musonda to AFCON we're always an injury away from a crisis.
  4. Yep. And in this crazy league we can be anywhere from 5th to (more likely) bottom on Saturday night.
  5. I don't want to defend our recruitment too much but it's sometimes not that straightforward. When Lincoln recalled Ahui from Drogheda they were gutted to lose him as he'd been really steady for them.
  6. Strange that Yogi always tops these polls but no club seems to have the ambition to appoint him.
  7. This. I never like to see anyone lose their job but surely the time has come for a change? Financially we'd only need to pay up 6 months of his contract and setting that against relegation it's a no-brainer from a business perspective. With QP looking for a new manager now we need to act or get second best. Also need to be giving a new manager the transfer window to see what he can change.
  8. Pretty baffling he's not starting. Two goals in 6 caps while Brown has none in 7.
  9. I think a draw would be the best result for us. Then if we win we gain ground on all of Morton, Airdrie and ICT.
  10. You'd think that neither Senga nor Young's clubs would be difficult to deal with unless they hit a huge injury crisis. I'd like to think that unless they've had problems settling either of the players would be up for it if we needed to extend their loans as they're getting more senior football now than they've ever had.
  11. Glad someone else remembers Tommy. I think we only played it for a season or so.
  12. Good that they're giving it some thought. I'm not hugely inspired by any of the options but if you get it right and the fans buy in and join in it can really help with the atmosphere. Different demographic I know, but when one of my daughters was at university in the US they adopted Back Home by Andy Grammer at the college football and the entire crowd would join in.
  13. Reading always seems to play better with a footballer in front of him. I think that's why he's been largely fine this season. He's one of the few who seem to be on the same wavelength as Murphy or McGeady. He's clearly much more of a full back McAllister is on the other side.
  14. I think that's the step up from under 23s which is nowhere near as fast and physical. The fact they were fine for a half is what makes me think they'll get there.
  15. I actually think Syla and Young will turn out ok. It's a big step up and it's going to take a few of games but they're not our biggest problem.
  16. Rose, McKenzie and Bryden are clearly not starters at this level and Dowds has to be better than any of them. You'd like to think with Chalmers and Murphy he'll score a few, which is way more than any of our other options.
  17. BBC stats pretty telling. We had 10 shots on target and didn't look like scoring. Partick had 5 on target and scored 4 times. No pressure on Dowds, but if we don't address that we're in real bother.
  18. Big difference is we don't have someone like Graham. Our strikers are pretty toothless.
