What’s happened to Gary?
Time for a change for both me and the club, the players needed a new voice and it was the right time for the change0 -
Whoever gets the opportunity should jump at it, great boys, great club, fantastic committee who do everything for you. It’s been a great 3 seasons, loved every minute of it.

Could not believe that score when I heard it. I watched first half then left to take in select match and Hurlford were up two nil. Well done to Stewarton
Great squad of boys2 -
Delighted for Stewarton today, great result lads

Although I don't manage in Ayrshire I take a keen interest in the leagues a good few of my old boys club players ply their trade there. It frustrates me that some players cant see by Hurlford/Shortlees etc and think your not good enough if you don't play for those 2. I have been surprised a Kilbride Thistle I seriously thought they would challenge but I see they are now picking up.
We played in the Kilwinning tournament against 3 premier league teams and they were all close games, we played Dirrans in the Scottish and put them out 2-0 but like other teams weve had low points this year with a couple of sore defeats but also competed against teams people had us written off against, Ayrshire is no different its the old adage 11 v 11 if you can't match the opposition with ability then beat them in effort it will even out.
As you know I watch New Farm or Stewarton if our game is off. I have said it for months New Farm wont be caught and IMO they will be a top 4 premier league team IF they keep hold of Farrel/Baxter management team. Stewarton were going great being back in the top league but I fear Gary Hamilton leaving could start a slide which im gutted about as I stay there and have for 24 year and some of the players played for me.
Our game may be off tomorrow so I hope to go see a good Ayrshire game.
I hope Onthank persevere.
I’m sure Stewarton will be fine Boab0 -
Sorry to see you go big man I try and watch the boys when I can if our game is off the job you have done should be admired
Thanks for the kind words Boab, the boys need a new voice.0 -
Fair play but bottled it when club need him
no harm but heard u took that club from dung to good
your not paying money like tarmac or colville but your coaching working hard
im a bam on here cause I hate teams paying players but you've done it your way u give up then your a bottle merchant like a thaught (so what you care what haters think) ? That's a gaffer!!
Or cause Mullen played infront the boys training all week ruffled feathers? Said this happen lol heard Mullen shite sat as well
I would have thought with your wide range of scouting network you would have known that Richie didn’t play. If you read the message from Saturday you’ll see the reasons why, but heho you’ve won 2 or 3 Scottish cups as a manager. What do I or 95% of amateur managers know, you’re the man. You inspire me to do better.1 -
Seemed to me you were going along just fine , along with a good wee run in Scottish as well. Quite a surprise after reading some of your football talk recently, must be more to it than meets the eye. Anyways good luck to you anyhow mate.
Nothing more in it at all, both parties need a change. It’s quite simple and thanks

Ffs , no another one , haha , amateur game falling to bits haha. You moving up the ladder or just time out .
Time to recharge the batteries and see what happens, more importantly Stewarton need to get the right person in.0 -
You will eventually. Good luck
Don’t live in Ayrshire, I only went there because a couple of my old team mates played there, made a number of great friends and I hope and improved a number of them as players.

Shortlees bound then?
Haha, I will not manage anyone else in Ayrshire.

Micks righthand man at darvel I suspect. All the best mate
Absolutely not1 -
Just to let everyone know I left Stewarton today after our match. I informed the committee at the new year that I’d be leaving at the end of the season, however after the last few weeks it’s best for the club to change now and appoint someone who’ll be able to take them forward. Nearly three season of the same voice in the dressing rooms becomes a bit mundane for players and it’s the right time for a change for us both. Stewarton United are a great club, the three guys that run it are the best people I have ever worked with in my chequered amateur career, whoever replaces me will get the full support of them. The players are very tight and a fantastic bunch to work with. I’ve been luck to play and manage in Ayrshire with two clubs and they have both been the best times in my career and that includes my time as Scotland assistant. Gary

Awch!!! Unlucky.
Not league winning material from what you saw from today's performance then?
Definitely not, they don’t have a Currie or a Knapp, no game changers in my opinion.0 -
Big result for Glenburn on back of last week's defeat?
Any feedback on game Gary?
Glenburn scores in the last minute of the game, very scrappy game0 -
Stewarton are pish
This you coming onto another thread to start again. Mr anonymous

Guys a rocket m8 wouldn't bother with him
Hope that’s not directed at me Boab1 -
Just a tad of information that some of your players are grumbling behind the scene
i would expect that to be the least you have won with money you have spent
You must have some contacts, players not happy at colville, players not happy at Stewarton, and you won majors, from another thread you said it was 2/3 can’t you remember . I certainly would have.0 -
Take it no games have survived the weather?
Stewarton games on2 -
Is it on astro. Have yous heard if it's likely to be on yet. Was passing the grange this morning and had a look at the astro there and not a chance a game of football is being played on that tomorrow.
It’s on Astro and we’ve not heard whether it’s on or off1 -
Outside bet for me is Glasgow university if they get through to the latter stages and avoid getting a game over the Easter holidays [Normally students returned home ]
You must have watched them today.0 -
I have watched LEAFA football for many years now since I stopped playing and this is the strongest and most competitive it has been. Real good teams from bottom league through to the top.
i can’t thing of any amature team’s from this neck of the woods that’s been aloud to apply for EOS and leave amateur? Unless they have changed the rules?
That’s because there’s on league set up in your region0 -
So Oban leaving the SAFL, to join the central. One league set up would eliminates this.

Can you call it then?
I’m not going to say where teams will finish all I can tell you is we’ll finish nowhere near the bottom two.0
