  1. To be fair if you are tripping over flute players may I suggest you stop walking on the road or maybe a pair of perma grip soles only 2.99 fae timpsons
  2. The referendum in Glasgow was an awfull experience , couldnt walk Down the road without some jumped up student union type in yer face asking your opinion and it was just a horrible atmosphere in the city at the time
  3. Here lhictie , most times I think yer Awryt but wind yer neck in pal . Only person coming across hate filled and bigotted here is yourself
  4. Episode two was the strongest for me and thought it would have easily fitted in with any of the previous series , thought the series as a whole was ok however it never quite consistently hit the heights of the original run which is understandable . Only fools and horses had a similar issue with their spin off episodes after a bit off a gap from the original run
  5. You do reliase there is more to the RAF than just pilots , they also have their own regiment that is set up similarly to an army infantry unit but anyway that has heehaw to do with the point I made anyway and you have just went on a random rant .
  6. How can you say it is not dangerous sure many more probably due doing run of the mill jobs as you say but be honest most estate agents , beauticians etc die in a freak accident that they are not anticipating . A soldier actually has to a certain times face up to the fact that some operations are going to be life threatening , there's a certain bravery involved there which I find admirable similar to that of many in the fire service for example . Which again is a voluntary service but those involved get my respect because whilst we are running away from the fire these guys are running towards it and sometimes not all of them make it out alive .
  7. romeo you are itching for an arguement so much that you are failing to see I am in agreement with you . What happened to these men was shocking , but 100 years ago the attitudes to mental health where light years from where we are now, surely you can't disagree with that , all I am saying is that what we consider a backwards solution to mental health issues was considered "normal" by society at that time and not just in war scenarios , . Those men also deserve rememberance too , I completely agree with you in that respect
  8. Wee lhictie has been rambling on about the marines for years , clearly one has a had a wee cheeky poke or ride at one of his childhood sweethearts IMO
  9. No that's not what I have said at all , the way shell shocked soldiers were treated at the time was dreadfull as was the way many with mental illness at that time in society were aswell . Just be grateful that attitudes and society has changed
  10. I would imagine so , if you choose to wear one for that particular reason not sure what point you are getting at here . The world was a completely different place 100 years ago . We all know that ,some dreadfull things happened and were treated as the norm . not sure what sort of point scoring you are trying to achieve here
