  1. Speaking of Levante, I was at their game vs Eibar back in March and there are mentions of Motherwell in a number of places around the stadium as we were their first ever European opponents.

They were still selling half and half Motherwell/Levante scarves (which a decent number of people in the crowd were wearing) and had copies of the pre-match line up picture of the game at Fir Park in their club shop.

We spoke to a few of their fans at the game who were delighted when they found out the majority of us were Motherwell fans, mentioned they came over for their away leg and said a lot of Levante fans keep an eye out for our results.

  2. Well done Killie, and very well deserved. Some of my best football memories were us finishing 2nd/3rd and playing in Europe so I hope you bloody enjoy it.

Watched that performance against Rangers today and no surprises that the connection between the team and fans is back. The effort and intensity from Brophy, Mackenzie, Dicker, Power and Taylor was excellent, and Clarke’s speech at the end just topped it off- wonderful stuff.

That being said, I’m sorry but I hope that’s Clarke’s last game at Killie. His country needs him.

  3. I’m not sure if I’m over stating this but could the fact we’ve got Turnbull signed up be a factor in convincing others to stay? There’s no doubt scouts from all over will be paying a visit next season to watch DT (assuming he’s still here) so could that help convince Cadden, Ariyibi etc to sign on knowing that there’s likely to be an a plenty of eyes on Fir Park next year.

  4. Cadden is one player who I genuinely have no idea whether he’ll stay or go but I’d obviously be delighted if he decides to stick around.

He’s missed a chunk of the season through injury and I don’t think there’s any arguing that his stock has lowered since this time last year, so would a club be willing to stump up the reported £600k development fee?...I’m not so sure. Maybe Jack Ross at Sunderland or someone along those lines would take a punt at that price?

If not though, he might end up in a Sibbald at Falkirk situation where the dev Fee essentially prices him out a move.

I wouldn’t be overly surprised to see a 1 year extension with a ‘goodbye and thanks for your efforts’ next summer when Cadds can move for free and will likely have a wider pick of clubs.

  5. Not going to get my hopes up due to our well document left back curse but on paper it seems like exactly our type of signing.

With Tait, Grimshaw and Carroll signed up for the full back positions next year, does it look like Livingstone will be heading out on a 6 month loan with the intention to re-call in Jan is he impresses? Can’t see him getting much game time over a more experienced new signing and the current captain.

  6. Slight change of topic but was speaking to a mate today and Liam Donnelly was mentioned, someone who I had genuinely forgotten existed. I don’t think he’s played since his injury against Celtic back in the first half of the season.

Anyone have any idea what the script is there? Is he simply not up to it or are injuries holding him back? On the face of it, a guy who is the record U21 cap holder for NI, slots home penalties against Spain and has a couple of seasons first team experience at League 2 level seems like the type of guy who should do a job for us but it’s just not happened for one reason or another.

  7. Possibly, but from reading Robinson's comments it seems we're trying to get these pre-contracts done early to avoid having to compete with other teams. So you're probably looking at players who are likely to have other options and a bit of profile?
Due to the circumstances with Fané (he's not kicked a ball in a year) I'm not sure that's the case with him. I'm all for us signing him as he looks great value but he's a free agent and I don't think there's necessarily the same urgency to get that one over the line. Certainly not in the same way as there seems to have been with Gallagher and Polworth.
It could be anyone tbqh, take your pick: Scottish Premiership, Scottish Championship, EFL 1, EFL 2

Yea fair comment. We need to move quick to get anyone who may have other interest secured as we’ll no doubt get outbid on wages.

I didn’t realise Fanè hadn’t kicked a ball for over a year. Sounds like a similar situation to big Charlie Dunne when he joined. From the video you posted he does look great value.. arms and legs everywhere and very partial to a Cruyff turn.
  8. I’ve enjoyed all 3 episodes but that was the best so far.

The couch conversation is starting to feel much more natural as the guys get better in front of the cameras, and the addition of the match footage during the chats made a real difference.

The two Duncan’s segments are proper laugh out loud funny, more of this please.

As much as it pains me to say it...the Hearts song really is the best football song about.

  9. I was still shitting it until half time in the second leg. Once we got to the break maintaining the 2 goal lead I started to relax a little bit, and when Bell punched the ball into the net I knew we’d done it and it was party time from there!

I didn’t make it to the Ibrox game and watched it with my face about 6 inches in front of my TV- couldn’t sit still. Never ever been as nervous/apprehensive about a game either before or since.

  10. I know Kent will probably leave Rangers at the end of the season but they’ll still have Middleton, Jones, Candeias, Murphy, Grezda (who they spent about £2m on!), and potentially others who might join in the summer. Can’t see him getting much, if any, game time ahead of that lot... but maybe he won’t care if he’s taking home £4K a week.

Obviously I’d like him to stay but if we end up with £600k for a guy with about 10 first team appearances, I could live with that.

  11. If we have agreed a deal to bring Gallacher in I would agree that it seems more than likely Aldred will be away. It’d seem a bit overkill to have Dunne, Gallacher, Hartley, Maguire (assuming he extends) and potentially all or some of McHugh, Mbulu and Aldred.

I’m sure he was rumoured to be on good money at Bury so wouldn’t be surprised if he got a decent league one club after his performances for us.

  12. I listen to the podcast every week and subscribe to their Patreon stuff too so I was really looking forward to this.

Slight disclaimer that I was hammered when watching it but I thought it was great and the transition from podcast to TV worked really well I thought. Had a good few chuckles to myself but I’ll need to give it a sober rewatch because I missed the SOD biscuits part.

Feels quite odd being really chuffed for a bunch of guys I’ve never met, although I think I saw big Thewliss in the pub once. Well done to the Terrace guys that are on here!
